Same weather here but it will warm back up to the eighties next week. Thankfully the humidity won't return.
Trying to figure out what to do with all the figs from my tree and all the hot peppers. That is the end of my garden for the year.
I found a recipe for Fig habanero barbecue sauce. Going to give it a try.
My son in Germany got his COVID test back the next morning. It's still taking three to seven days to get results around here. Ridiculous. He was negative.

Good morning, everyone! We've had a spell of beautiful weather here, with autumnal sunshine. On Saturday evening, I sat outside in a neighbours' garden for an hour (well wrapped up!) having a socially distanced catch up with a home made blackberry gin and tonic, watching the sun set over the sea.
I'll grab a coffee to get moving this Monday morning, plus a few of Sara's delicious cookies.
Stuck in an all day meeting today, tomorrow, and Wednesday. Yeah, fun. * scarfs as many chocolate butterscotch crunch cookies as he can find and hunkers down with a large mug of green tea *

Late, late, late. Thank goodness there were still some delicious cookie crumbs left. And some herbal tea. Perfect. Weather beautiful and cool here. Sun shining. So sorry Scott you are stuck in nasty meetings. Such a waste of time. But you are made of stern stuff and will plow through. My poor Washington Football team. Won one, lost yesterday - badly, badly, badly. Tied with the Cowboys though.

As things are tightening up here from today, our outdoor socially distanced line dance class today has been cancelled, which is a shame. Hopefully, we can carry on in some shape or form in the next weeks.

Survived Day 2, but barely. I find that day 2 of a conference is always the one that drains me the most. When I go to in-person conferences away from home, day 2 is usually the one where I cut the last session to go to my hotel for a rest, or even a nap, before dinner. Of course, there is usually a reception that evening so I head back for that. Not going to miss free food and booze.

Morning all! It's dropped to 7 degrees (or 44 degrees) here and it's raining. Brr! Definitely padded coat and gloves weather! I'll grab a coffee and some of Sara's delicious cookies before I venture out!
Meetings over. I have meetings today, but they are proper meetings not day-long conference sessions.
Tripped while on my walk last night. No serious injuries but enough scrapes and scratches to be in pain. I am prone to doing this (klutz) but it has been a while. At least I didn't twist my ankle as I am prone to doing. I just got over a twisted ankle.
Nice weather here though they are calling for showers on the weekend.

A new comp and a celebration. We'll have to have a party here in the cafe on October 12 (which, I think, is Thanksgiving Day here in the Great White North). Cake, cookies, tea, coffee. Heck, maybe we'll slip a few two-fours and some wine in the fridge. Just don't tell the LLBO (Liquor License Board of Ontario). They'll probably want us to get an event license or something.
For now, some green tea and cookies will suffice.
