It appears that I will be needing some radiation therapy to zap a spot on an adrenal gland that appears to be metastatic cancer. It should be done in the next few weeks. About 5 to 10 sessions over a two week period. That should take care of it one more time.

More painting done. Have to go back out this aft to do second coat. Basically, I'm repainting the frames around some external doors. If I ever get a chance to replace them, I'll get aluminum or vinyl coverings on the frames similar to the door from the kitchen to the deck, which we replaced two or three years ago.

Nice day for it, anyway. We've got showers in the forecast starting from noon tomorrow.

Now for some tea and cookies.

A beautiful day here.
Got out for a walk and it was so nice out

Not much going on here today just looking like a lazy laid-back kind of day. Maybe catch a little football might be the highlight of the day

Coffee's on, kettle is boiling, and I've put an assortment of breakfast goodies (danishes, muffins, croissants, etc.) out.

Yes, I am on vacation, why do you ask? Nothing dramatic, just a couple days NOT working from home.

It's dinner time. Victor had his walk and his dinner already. I've made an appointment to see a new oncologist on Wednesday. This one specializes in radiation therapy. So we are getting that set up soon. I need to get it over with and move on.

It seems like you are moving right along honey. Hope you like this doctor as well as you like your current doctors. I will be anxious to hear when they get your scheduled for the first radiation.

The coffee was good this morning. It seems to be much better when the weather begins getting chillier. I'm going to write a poem today. I'm not really presenting to many pieces now but I think it is time to get something done. I'm looking forward to more guidance for the competition starting soon.

Good evening! Vacation ending. Got to go to the office tomorrow to meet a potential new team member. And attend a couple boring meetings (is there any other kind??).

I'm not a coffee drinker but I will have some cookies and coke.

My cat is recovering slowly from his blood clot. He is walking better and he managed a small jump. The vet is optimistic about his prognosis.

The memorial planned for my aunts is causing issues. No surprise there. Hopefully, it can all be sorted out. Everything is so hard to plan and carry out these days.

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the fall. It's my favorite time of the year.

Hope you get the memorial sorted out soon. Grieving is tough enough without also having stuff to deal with around how you memorialize the deceased.

Hello, everyone. We're now on our third cuppa java. That will be the last for the day.

My wife went over to the hospital today and got a COVID-19 test. She was required to do that because she will have an outpatient sedated procedure next week. She has had one earlier this year and was negative. It will be good to get another negative result this week. Unlike our now positive Prez, we are diligent about distancing and wearing our masks.

Mixed weekend here. Nice, but cool, today. Showers tomorrow (and still cool). Got some more painting to do but it's too cold overnight right now but should be better on Monday-Tuesday when I'm off work for a couple days so will hold off until then.

Tea of the day is Duke of Earl (Grey) and I am going to dip into the cookie jars without looking so I get a nice surprise...

Good day to you, Scott and Cynthia. I'll go ahead and make a fresh pot of coffee. I see the tea kettle is on.

Monday afternoon I will be working with the radiation technician to create something like a mold of my body that I will lie down in and be held in a still position. That way the radiation will be zapped right at the tumor in my adrenal gland and not take out any friendly bits of me. We'll set up the five sessions for the therapy at that time. I expect to have it all complete in the next two to three weeks. Then just sit back and wait for the cancer cells to die.

I'll be getting another CT scan in December that will give us the view of what is happening inside. If things go well we will see the tumor has shrunk and no new surprises are popping up.

Sounds like you have a plan. Getting zapped with radiation always sounds scary but they seem to be getting better at targetting it nowadays. I recall that with some cancer patients I know on other boards. Good luck and hope this gets rid of it.

Grey and rainy here. October seems to poised to more than make up for a dry spell we had in September.

Nothing much on the agenda today. Upgrading software on the forum site I admin and then turning on some of the new features from that upgrade. I think I have said it before, but I am basically both Maggie/Molly and Gav on that site.
