Congrats on your big "achievement"...I clicked on it a couple of days back, and you were at 983...looks like all this begging and groveling paid off...only kidding, ahem...

Btw, you could return the favor...I have a couple of neglected poems myself...I just checked "Neon Sign"...it is still 30 views from the 3000 milestone, and my 9/11 poem needs a mere 4 views to get to the 2000 mark...

Now, if I could just convince Lisa to lower the "famous story" badge requirement by a factor of ten, we'd all have a chance...

My entries didn't make the shortlist, found here, but it was a good challenge to undertake nonetheless. I'm glad to have done it.

(And I still think some of mine are better than the finalists.)

Your post here just gave me the inspiration for my own six word story...

What you trying to say Reverend Rump...that my writing is a crime?

I resemble that remark...oh wait, let me go think about this one...
A big well-deserved congrats to all...and I have to say it was extremely tight at the top...and if you entered the contest, and didn't win...well, you may have missed by a millimeter or so...just sayin'

Not so sure why she mentioned leaving erotica out - unless you made a pass at her.

Funny...I can't seem to recall anything along the lines of making a pass at her...

Anyway...on another note...a good idea if you're attempting to promote a book, or anything else for that matter...is to get something like this interview mentioned as many places as possible...so, for example, it is now mentioned here...

NJ Poets and Poetry - New Jersey poet Alan Jankowski interview
http://njpoetspoetry.blogspot.com/2012/09/new-jersey-poet-alan-jankowski-interview.html
My first ever newspaper interview mentions a very famous story site that some here may recognize...the online version went live last night, and the print edition came out this morning, Thursday Sept. 20...

Apparently I'm front page news online, but on page 24 in the print edition...there are a couple of minor factual errors, and if you read the first line carefully you'll quickly realize they might consider hiring a proofreader, but overall I think it came out nice...

Here's the link to the online version...

I've just added the badge to your profile. Gav used to do it but he's made it so I can add it now.

Oh, you have the power to give out badges now eh Lisa? I wouldn't tell too many people that around here...you'll soon be getting threats, bribe offers, etc...and soon corruption, greed, and assortment of other deadly sins will rear their ugly head here at Stories Space...

Not to mention hostage taking, drive by shootings in the forums...that sort of thing...you get the idea...

Btw Gav Love the badge

Not sure if I saw the badge yet...I'll have to go look again...if it looks too nice I might want to quit my job here and just become a reader...not a bad thing btw...

And yeah, I second what Lisa said about supporting and encouraging fellow members...and I'm not saying that just because she's my boss...really, it's great to have people read and comment...

I have to admit, I don't always get the time to read all I would like here...and damn, I work here...that ain't good...congrats to you Kiki...
I saw the Talking Heads in 1978...just after the second album came out, Capital Theater, Passaic, NJ...damn, I was still in high school..just sayin'
