Hi Bunz... to Stories Space...

You could write a story about a cupcake...have no clue where that came from, but it's a thought...
You may have read in the forum some time ago that my poems "Arrested By The Grammar Police" and "The Dirty Martini" were to appear in the August humor issue of eFiction Magazine...

Well, they didn't make in into that issue, and there's a real good reason for that...I just don't know what it is...however, they are in the current September 2012 issue of eFiction Magazine...

Good afternoon Mr. Jankowski,

I am putting together a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony. We would be honored to
have your "We Shall Never Forget" poem in our program. The few who have read
your poem in our office have really loved it. May we please have your
permission to use your poem? If allowed to use your poem, our program would
look like the one attached.

Damn, and I saw Dionne Warwick with Johnny Mathis when I was a kid...my mom took me...don't want to say what year that was, let's just say it was A.D...
Oh, and I saw John Kay in a small club in the 70's...never did see Steppenwolf though...

Thought I would add an update, as I have reread the letter.
The first time, I was so stoked that It had been short listed and going to be included, I skimmed the rest.

The publication will be called Island Wonders, and is scheduled to be published in January 2013.
Prizewinners will be notified after the books are published.

Yeah, I just got the same letter...if I want to buy the book, it's $39.95...and if I want my bio included, it's an additional $19.95...I just haven't figured out what poem of mine is to be included as I don't see that mentioned...

This reminds me of the book Sharon and I were included in...but, I'll get to that later...I really should read through the whole letter...but, it's a good thing...

Oh, I see...it's my poem Harmony...it says it up top somewhere...same book title as yours...
Is that this contest that was posted in the forum?

We have both a poetry contest, and a short story contest...$500 first prize...

A big congratulations here...I think that's rather an accomplishment...

I think your link don't work btw...you should probably get one of the mods to fix it...

Oh wait...never mind...it should work now...
"Welcome to the most terrifying show on earth! Step into the Big Top if you dare and submit to Ephemera Publishing's new anthology, PSYCHO CIRCUS. We are seeking chilling tales of dark circus horror--think killer clowns, twisted lion tamers, raving mad ring masters."...it's sort of a contest/sub call...the top four stories get paid, the rest just go in the book...check it out...

Since I answered my first submission call back on Sept. 7, 2010 I've managed to fool a number of editors, publishers and assorted literary types...and now I managed to fool Poets & Writers Magazine where I just got listed in their directory as a "published fiction writer"...

Btw, in order to get listed you have to join the site and apply...you need six short stories published, or one whole novel...so, something to think about...

Most times I'm partially confused, too.

If I'm only partially confused I consider that a good day, and somewhat of an achievement...

Yeah, Karlos...judging by your posts here, I think you'll fit in nicely...and welcome to Stories Space...
Early Van Morrison when he was with Them back in 1964, here doing the Muddy Waters classic...you know, there probably are words to describe how cool this video is...I just can't think of them at the moment...
