Do you happen to have a radio play? Yes, I thought they went out in the 30's too...but, apparently not...and this site buys them...
Next time you get in a good argument with someone, write it up and send it in...

Here is a magazine that is aimed at the motorcycle riding population, but is looking for short 400-750 word articles on food and lodging places of interest, among other things...

They pay $75 for those short articles, which is not too shabby, though they want a couple of pictures to go with the story...something to think about...

Good luck with your submission, Alan. I hope you'll keep us posted on whether your poem's accepted.

Nope...ain't happening, I found out today...

Not a lot of markets for previously published poems either, or previously published anything for that matter...though it wouldn't surprise me if there were more submission calls soon for things of a "patriotic" nature based on recent events...
On another note...Happy Birthday James Dye...Hope it was a good one dude...

Cheers,
Alan.

I just love making a big Mexican dinner - chicken enchiladas with spicy rice and cucumber salad ............. and Corona beer and margaritas for the adventerous!!

Buen provecho!!

Hmmm...don't forget to invite us all over next time you feel so inclined...I could probably chip in for a few Coronas, and I bet I wouldn't be the only one...

Emeril's bold dark coffee.. from my Keurig single cup machine

Oh, you got one of those...I have to admit I'm a bit jealous...

I do the more economical thing...regular Folgers brewed in a Mr. Coffee drip machine with my Coffee Mate French Vanilla creamer...

Works for me though...and a couple of my neighbors seem to like it I found out recently...I've had two stop by in the last few days for coffee...
I will be resuming work on my novel "Love Conquers All"...it will be the novel version of the short story that appears here with that title...

I had started work on the novel last year...my work on it got a major set-back when my computer got stolen in Sept. 2010, and I lost a lot of notes I had in the computer case. I sort of lost my momentum, but hope to resume again soon...I'll be posting the first five chapters here on Stories Space, nowhere else, and if I manage to get a publishing deal...which is my ultimate goal at the moment, those five chapters will probably be deleted from this site...

That is the plan, for now...wish me luck, I'll probably need it...
Cheers,
Alan.

I had started work on the novel last year, and posted one chapter on Stories Space's sister site under the name "Sleeping With The Enemy"...my work on it got a major set-back when my computer got stolen in Sept. 2010, and I lost a lot of notes I had in the computer case. How come Microsoft Word defaults to Calibri 11?

Does anyone actually use Calibri 11? Why not Times New Roman 12, or something else people actually use???

I like to write on my tummy on bed only wearing my panties and my bra. It makes me crative and the words just sort of flow.

Hmmm...the thought of that might inspire me as well...check a few posts up, I posted an article about just that...

On another note...has anyone tried this?

I saw it mentioned in a LinkedIn writing group, and some people seem to really like it...just thought I'd bring it up here...

Still trying to wake up today...I think Big Joe might help...

And yes...the original is still the best...
