Honestly, when Drew first started hosting TPIR, I was watching for two reasons - to see what kind of weird (and hilarious) things he was going to say and to find out how he was going to do as host - but in a twist of fate and irony, my heart had other plans.

I mean, after finding out he was going to host, I was all, ‘Really? Who’d want to watch him?’ and now I can’t get enough of him.

Rumor has it DCS is not streaming seasons 2-9 because of the amount of music they used. Not sure if that’s true.

That’s not a rumor. And it’s exactly why nobody has his show but Etsy.

How much can Drew carry anyhow? 😜

Well, given that he’s stronger than he looks (which I know cause people jump on him on TPIR sometimes) I’d assume he can Carey quite a bit. I wish they wouldn’t though cause sharing him isn’t something I do well,

How many Carries could a Drew Carey carry if a Drew Carey could carry carries?

(By the way, I found the DVDs on Etsy with Elyse’s exact search wording. Not many left, but way cheaper than eBay!).

…now that, I don’t know.

Also I ordered one of those copies so there’s probably even less now…but I’m happy cause more Drew is always a good idea.

You mean buying one of the DVDs? I looked on Etsy but saw nothing.

Feeling better than I've felt in days! I think this flu is finally on the decline.

Weird. Did you try searching ‘Drew Carey Show DVDs’ the way I did?

I was trying out a documentary series on the history of sitcoms that's up on Gem, the CBC's inhouse streaming service. The series originally ran on CNN it looks like. And Drew is one of the "talking heads". First I have seen the beard. Wow does he look different with it.

Yeah. Took me awhile to warm up to it but now I love it cause it gives him an extra helping of DILF vibes.

Little things about Drew I live for:

The split-second realization of ‘oh my god did I really just say that out loud’ before he starts giggling at whatever he said.

Btw verbal - if you’re still looking for his sitcom, try Etsy. Just trust me on this one.

I get to see Jane next month cause Weakest Link will be back on April 17th. Brace yourselves - the posts are coming.

…so I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’ve finally warmed up to Drew’s beard after almost three years. I mean, yeah, I still miss seeing his dimples, but it’s okay.

He looks so good it’s not even funny.

Hey, Elyse, we tried to watch Drew last night and couldn't find it? Are you still getting it on the Internet Archive? Di I ruin everything by watching?

I actually came here to update you on that. It’s been taken down, as you saw, but you can find it on DailyMotion. I would suggest watching on the website rather than the app, though, cause the episodes aren’t in order and the website makes it easier to find the next one.

I tried to write poetry yesterday, but all of the things I could think of to put on the page came out sounding more like they belonged in a letter or - well, anything but poetry, really.

Elyse, I owe you one! We watched a bunch of Drew Carey Show this weekend. It holds up really well. Everyone in that cast is SO GOOD. We started in season one, so I'm jonse-ing for the opening songs in the later seasons.

You’re welcome.

Drew is an absolute gift and I don’t know what I did to deserve him. And if that extremely intimate ‘I love you’ wasn’t enough, he was wearing the lethal blue glasses and skinny jeans combo on Friday’s episode of TPIR.

I - I need a moment. Or several.

Interesting. Most celebs these days go for podcasts or satellite channels rather than radio, I find. It's a bit looser, I guess, and gives them a bit more control since the FCC regulations don't apply to podcasts. Good on Drew to do good old radio.

Well yeah, it’s satellite cause it’s on SiriusXM, but it’s not a podcast or anything - just him telling stories and playing music.

I, admittedly, don’t know half of what he’s playing but I’m also really just listening to hear him.

Drew has a radio show when he’s not hosting TPIR (a hobby he has, I guess) and at the end of this week’s episode, he ended it with ‘I love you’ the way he does at the end of TPIR.

Needless to say, I’m still thinking about it and I might need a moment or several cause an ‘I love you’ in my ears, so to speak, felt a lot more intimate and personal.

(I wanted to tell y’all about this as soon as it happened but I couldn’t cause the site was down for most of last night.)

…so I actually wrote something, but it’s definitely not long enough to be published cause it was just a quick little thing to put something on a page.

OMG thank you! We'll probably watch that this weekend!

No problem.

I’m really just in it for Drew, as I’m sure you know. Nobody makes me laugh the way he does.

Elyse, how are you watching The Drew Carey Show? I’m wanting to watch it now.

It’s free on the Internet Archive. And yes, they have the entire show.

I was a huge fan of Ian Hunter back in the day, and so was a huge fan of Cleveland Rocks way before the show. They’re all really good openings. What a creative show. Great cast.

It’s all fun and games until you mishear Solon as Soulland every time it’s the ‘Moon Over Parma’ opening though. I wish I was kidding.

Quote by KatarinaTechgoddess
I really liked that song, Five O’Clock World, if I’m not mistaken.

Yeah, that’s the song. After a certain point in the show, it’s kind of a lottery in terms of which of the three theme songs (Moon Over Parma, 5 O’Clock World, and Cleveland Rocks) you’ll hear.

Quote by Mendalla
Wow. Blast from the past, eh. I do like some of those old vocal groups.

…well, part of it is that one of their songs was used as the theme song for Drew’s sitcom for awhile, which is how and why I know about them.

Quote by Mendalla
Who? Now I am curious (and always up for a new band).

Don’t laugh but…The Vogues.

That moment when you discover an amazing band only to find out they’re severely underrated.

…and yes, I’m blaming and thanking Drew for it.

Quote by Mendalla
Oo, and I see there's a dark mode in beta (ie. being tested). Is that new or did I just miss it before?

I’ve been waiting for dark mode. So much nicer on my eyes.

Woke up really, really wanting to kiss Drew. I mean, yeah, I’ve woken up that way a lot over the past sixteen years but…well..not quite like this.

I - I might need a moment. Or several.

We gather here for new members, Drew looking his finest, misunderstood Disney villains, and more.

…well, if we want to get technical, he looks with his eyes.

I’m honestly so whipped for him it’s not even funny.

Drew was wearing his blue glasses and a pair of skinny jeans on Friday and…well…needless to say, I might need a moment (or several) cause that’s a lethal combination I’m absolutely here for.

Giggles…. Cruella was just misunderstood.

That’s what they all say.

It’s a beautiful sunny frosty day here in Ireland. Just been for a walk with the dogs and I’d love a cup of coffee to warm me up. I recognise a few faces from other places but hi, I’m Susie. New to here and hoping to publish a story or two soon

Welcome. I’m Elyse.

I’m hoping you’re much nicer than your evil relative. ;)

I’d be writing myself but every time I think I’ve fixed my story, I run into another roadblock and/or end up hating everything I wrote.

I’d say this isn’t me thinking about how Drew’s last name is literally just ‘care’ with a Y on the end, but that would be as untrue as if I said it didn’t give me butterflies.

I - I might need a moment. Or several.
