Good that you get to recover at home. Good luck and wishing you a speedy recovery!
Elizabeth, we have deer and coyotes in the valley on the edge of my neighbourhood. I've seen the former occasionally, never the latter though the trail down into the valley now has warning signs about avoiding the place during times of peak coyote activity. Bears largely left Southern Ontario as the region developed but they occasionally show up. One was caught in the West end of my city a year or two ago.
The main wildlife I see are various small and mid-sized birds (robins, grackles, jays, finches, chickadees), rabbits, and squirrels. Occasionally, we'll see a skunk but they mostly come at night so we don't see them often. More rarely, larger birds like turkeys and hawks pop by for a visit. I once saw a turkey vulture eating roadkill around the corner but that's really unusual in a residential neighbourhood.
Anyhow, must skitter off. Getting near ape's bedtime. Work day tomorrow and then Wednesday off to accompany my wife for some medical stuff (routine, nothing serious).
