Can this be true? I actually agree with Mandella's choice, and his reasons.

Hope you have time for these queries. Before that I have no objection to your 2nd checker viewing and polishing my two entries. Nobody's perfect! (Now where did I hear that?)

Query one: Should there be a time limit on entry so there is no last minute straggling?

Query two: Author name--do you think it best that we all follow the same route? All pen-names or all proper names.(not necessarily genuine). Strikes me that uniformity would be more attractive. I note in your first example it is all proper names and looks neat and professional. As does your brief but most succinct suggestion for the back cover.

Two entries from me for this excellent plan. Would it be wrong for me to say, at this point , that I believe your commitment is admirable.

An anthology? Excellent idea. I've never had a story in one of those. And for the proceeds to go towards the 'friendly' Storiesspace' is doubly pleasing.

Congratulations to the top three. A lesson there for all of us. To violet-the- victorious, brilliant, ---please lend me a tenner!

I think I'll have a hot chocolate to celebrate.

Hi! May I have a hot chocolate and join you? smile Congrats on your Top Ten finish!

Join me any time, and thank you for your good wishes. But oh, the shame of being beaten by one place by an MM lookalike but such a good writer.

I think I'll have a hot chocolate to celebrate.

But I'll wager she's the boss. Although she allows you to think that you are.

Go on I'll try that heart-shaped cookie with a hot chocolate.

My warmest thanks to those of you who gave such heartfelt comfort (much needed)with your condolences for our loss of our little Chip.

Our 12 year old shih tzu died of a heart attack last night. No apparent illness, painless, rapid--a blessing in that respect. But no more words through the tears.

I am SO SORE and bruised up. It’s my fault for walking and texting. I kept hitting my knees today at my desk lol what a klutz… 37 and falling apart already.

Hope the pain in your knee is easing, Amelia, but I have bad news for you. At just 37 you have scope for plenty more falls, just walk carefully and keep your eyes open.

I spent All day Friday in hospital being blood-tested, brain- scanned, x-rayed after a slurred speech scare. Specialists diagnoses? No other symptoms. It was caused by the blood thinning medication which prevents things getting worse. His final reassuring words, "You'll know when it happens next time---and it will."

I'm feeling fine today. I just hope this new story I'm working on doesn't develop slurred writing!

A cup of rose tea and two of Sara's strawberry shortbreads. What a Godsend she is. Thank you, Sara.
