I need to alter my forum signature but can't work out how to do it. Any clues?

Glad your knees are getting stronger and that there is a plan in place, Gill. I agree about the tumbleweeds. I am promoting Stories Space in my newsletter today, but it’s not like I have a large following.
Perhaps a hot steaming urn of Costco will help! And a pot of Siamese Sumatra Surprise, our tea for today (the surprise is that it’s made of coffee beans picked only by Siamese cats on the island of Sumatra.
Plus, cookies for Sea and cake from Gill! (Gill, I hope it’s okay I’m hawking your cake - maybe it’ll bring in a cake lover from off the street,
Windy as f here today. Just howling. Cold too. With luck I won’t have to leave the house.
Coffee and cake for me!
Thanks for the setup Ape. That Meow Mix from yesterday left a nasty taste I my mouth.
Eye doc today. Wah. I finally finished my Western - it’s still goofy, but less goofy than it was. A writing group I am a part of is putting out a Weird Western anthology this year. Let me know if you are interested. I’m not on the reading committee or anything. 6000 word limit.
Intermittent snow today. I hope the roads are good.
Enjoy your weekend! I’ll have a coffee and a cookie.

Ape comes in. Sniffs tea. Starts kettle.
Here's some real tea. A nice cup of English Breakfast.
After reading through the calls from Author's Publish (see thread I started), I am looking at a couple of them. There's one where "Down In The Well" might be a fit so I am thinking of taking it down from here and submitting it there after giving it an editing pass or two. And there's the Bigfoot anthology I mentioned in the thread. I am thinking about story ideas. I was a bit obsessed with cryptids as a kid and the giant ape variety (Bigfoot/Sasquatch, the Yeti) were favourites (surprised?😉).
I thought that tea tasted a little odd. Cats have been following me around all morning.
I like that The Cosmic Background call, for slipstream flash that doesn’t make much sense. I wish I understood the slipstream genre better.
Looking forward to the historical novella, Red. I’d be interested in how you did research as well.
Finally finished my stupid Western. It is rather stupid. I will edit it today, but what I really wanna work on is more memoir. First things first.
Our tea today is from Purina, a zesty little blend called Meow Mix. Hmm. What an odd looking tea! At least the coffee is traditional Costco, boring and reliable.
Plus, BIRTHDAY COOKIES FOR SARA!
Enjoy the day all.

So when do we get the "Verbal Studios Monsterverse"? 😜
I actually tried to load one here, but I can't get it to finish loading. I just put up a Tik Tok account for it though! (momo26339)
Wow, Gill, you knee is bad enough so that you can't drive? That sounds pretty bad. Good luck with physical therapy.
Sending the book off to a developmental editor today for help! It's exciting. Other than that not much is going on. Talia returns to work tomorrow. It's been a good holiday, though I miss my daughter.
Hope everyone is well. Teas and coffee and cookies await you!
Thanks for the cookies Sara!
Happy New Year everyone. We plan to do very little, other than pop a bottle of Champagne and watch the fireworks on top of Pikes Peak. After the agita of my daughter’s move across country I could use a little calm. Things seem fine now.
So, today, I am spending the day playing with Stop Motion Studio! Today I learn how to use a green screen!
Bring in the New Year doing what you want to do everyone. I hope it’s great year for all!
Last day of my daughter's trip, and the weather has FINALLY cleared up. After they got a motel my daughter asked, "Do you want me to tell you the truth about how bad the roads are?" It's the kind of question that lets you know the answer before you've heard it. And the answer: the roads were TERRIBLE yesterday.
Back at work on the Western. We'll see if I remember the vibe I had going.
Coffee and tea, and cookies for thee! Stop by for a cup!
I’m watching the little car icon cross the US on a location app as my daughter moves to the East Coast. It’s nerve wracking, if exciting. They got caught in a blizzard in NE Colorado and I found them the last room in a motel in a little tiny town. They are making good time today.
I’m doing a final edit on the WIP before it goes to a developmental editor next week. Also nerve wracking. Though I do think I like the book.
Coffee is a-coffing, Kitty Zoomies tea is steeping, and there are some delish cookies in the tin.
Enjoy the end of the year everyone!
Thanks for the cookies Sara! I'll have one with a cup of that Las Chicas.
My daughter and her family are moving to Maryland, driving and a pulling a small trailer, just as a blizzard settles in between where they are are where they have to go. Send them prayers and wish them safe travels - it's gonna be a long 3 days watching the little car icon move across the map of the US on Life360.
Had an excellent Christmas. I hope it treated everyone well in here as well.
I'll have some Christmas Blend and a candy cane, Ape.
That snowstorm never materialized, but it's cold and windy out, and the fire is going, so we'll not go anywhere. I don't fully embrace Christmas, but I do enjoy it. Home and hearth, family and friends, love and loss and hope, all rolled into one crazy ball. If you find Christmas difficult, be kind to yourself today. Let it be just another day. If you embrace Christmas, I hope it brings you joy.
Me, I'm somewhere in the middle, as usual. Merry Christmas, Stories Space family!
Anna, I always told my kids that Santa was a quantum soul, in all houses simultaneously, a cloud of possibilities that only collapses when someone wakes up and sees him (like Cindy Lou Who) (who is no more than two).
Getting a tad of the Christmas spirit, I guess. Writing a going full steam - I wrote an entire chapter yesterday, and should pin down a second one today. It feels really good.
And I am way behind on wrapping presents. I am really bad at wrapping presents, but I enjoy doing it. Relaxing and mindful.
Tea is tea-ing, coffee is coff-ing, cookies are waiting to be eaten. Happy holidays! Enjoy!
Ooh, tumbleweeds….
Costco is a-perking, the Kitty Zoomies tea is a-steeping, and Sara’s delicious cookies are on a platter.
Didn’t sleep well. Going out for FroYo with daughter and fam in a bit. Then write, and try to fit in a walk. We are get another winter storm this weekend, so I want to get one in before it hits.
Pretty boring day. Carp the boring diem!
Hey all.
Red, yes, I think that was a joke.
Glad to see your wife has her sense of humor. Anxiety is hard, I occasionally battle it myself.
Starting to get back responses from the readers of my WIP. Exciting and a little scary. Today I am returning the favor and doing some critiquing of my own.
I don't know if I've mentioned this, but it looks like my daughter and her family are moving to Maryland next month. I think it's a good move, and I am optimistic, but I will miss her. That sound you hear is my heart breaking, just a little bit. We've never been far from each other.
Anyway. Time to get to work. I'd love a coffee and a cookie, if any are left in the emergency tins.
Carp the diem!
Appreciate the setup, Bear. And Costco coffee! My favorite!
I will miss the Bear and Girl stories, but I look forward to seeing how you finish the tale. Nice work.
Red, that sounds frustrating. I’ve had a few go-arounds with doctors myself. My heart goes out to you and yours.
We had the company dinner for Layla at Tucano’s last night. A great time, but man I had a meat coma afterward. I’m not used to eating that much red meat, and I pigged out (heh).
Warm sunny day today. Should be the perfect day for a walk. Most of my Christmas chores are done (except wrapping!) so I can chill out and relax into the holiday.
Carp the diem everyone!
