A Time Bomb for Christmas?

After a fight with her sister, Sam is terrified of what she will find under the tree this year.

The Christmas present ticked ominously from under the tree. Sam glanced at it suspiciously. She remembered the argument she had from the day before and sighed heavily. It was always something. She glared again at the innocuous-looking gift as Jane, her sister, entered the room. "Time to open them!" Jane yelled enthusiastically. Sam cringed, but picked up the little green package and ripped the paper. She stared open-mouthed at the box as she picked up the beautiful watch and hugged Jane, tears in her eyes. Things weren't perfect, but Sam knew they would eventually get better with a little work.
