Caged sparrow

Daughter of sorrow,

Hang your head toward the living earth.

I will tell them of your heroes when time makes us free.

I think you deserve that much.

Oh, my love, I live on your water.

Your truth I carry with me as I drift to your accepting delta.

Fade the sunset basil.

You hold that soft yellow orb in your smooth hand.

Command it sunfire!

You are the source of yellow and you are the only one who doesn't know it.

Or my love are we only characters in a black comedy written buy a sad God?

By morning I shall travel to a table and eat food unfit for human consumption.

So is dinner for a poet.

Yet as I gather wool you set the trees to blaze by your light and your clarity.

The work goes on so friends gave me some pens.

I think if my life had gone differently I would have been an emt.

On last thought hands shake, I can barely touch the buttons.

It hurts when I look at partially finished canvases.

You should see my signature.
