In Sync

You say the words,
Even as they teeter
At the edge of my tongue.
You give voice to thoughts
Not yet fully formed
In my mind.

You articulate my opinions,
So I better understand
My own heart.

I know your reaction
Well before you give it.
I know your passions,
What ignites and stokes them.

In sync, but unpredictable;
Familiar, never dull.
Still you surprise me,
Astound me, amaze me.

You always will.
