Packaging

I once bought a bag of chips

A big ol’ bag all bright and yellow

I opened the bag with a pair of snips

So little inside I was one unhappy fellow.

I saw a pie I really wanted

A nice big box to hold it all

I ripped it open completely undaunted

And found a pie so pathetically small.

I ordered a tool from an online shop

It took forever to come in the mail

What I got made my jaw drop

Someone needs to go to jail.

I needed a shirt and saw one so cool

But when it came it fit like a dress

Now don’t I feel just like a fool

I wear it anyway I must confess.

I had a girl I loved more than life

I felt so lucky that we met

It turned out she caused me too much strife

It’s better that I get a pet.

Packaging is a trick of the eye

You always believe you are getting more

All you can do is hope and try

To find what you are really looking for.
