Thinking Of Love

Tags: thinking, love

I was thinking of you today

Thinking of how you made me laugh.

How coming home to you put a smile on my face
And that even in our hardest moments I never  alone

Loving you taught me much
I learnt to laugh at myself, love myself despite my faults
You  made me want to be a better person
I found myself looking at my days, thinking, what can I do for you to make your day happier

In quiet moments when I couldn't sleep, I'd discover myself smiling as I remembered something silly you did or said

A single tear travels down my cheek, I didn't know it had overflowed from the ocean in my heart

Love you we say, Love you I did
What I didn't know before you came along, is how you would make me a better version of myself
A kinder gal, gentler, softer more loving, more thoughtful, more patient
I didn't know all the levels that love has
And that love doesn't always need words
Sometimes love simply just gives hugs
That  feeling of being wrapped up safe and warm

Thank you. For being you and for the ways you made me a better me...
