He's a Gooner through and through
He wanted to see them play one day
And visit Highbury too

He wished for it on his birthdays
And dreamed of seeing them play
His favourite player is Santi
He dreams of meeting him one day

So imagine our surprise one day
When a text message came through
About a spare ticket to see The Legends
Thanks to a man named Stu

He gave it to Reece's best friends dad
Who contacted me, his mum
Said "I've got this spare ticket"
"Is it ok if Reecey comes?"

Naturally, I said "no"
Because I like to tease
But the joy on Reece's face
Had me saying "Thanks, Mark and yes please"

The day it came eventually
Though for Reece it seemed forever
Mark picked him up, with his son
And took them there together

He got to go to The Emirates
And visit Highbury too
He got to see Pirès score
And a hat-trick from Kanu

He had the best day of his life
Thanks to these nice men
Who took him to see the Legends
And said they'd take him there again

I don't think he has stopped smiling
Since he went that day
A day he never will forget
Because he saw The Legends play.
