Come and take a ride with me,
Let's see how long you last,
It's the never-ending story,
It all begins in my past,
Imprisoned for a crime,
I didn't even do,
This is just a portion,
Of the Hell that I went through.
You have to learn to sleep,
With at least one eye open,
Locked down every single day.
Daydreaming, wishing, hopin',
Daydreaming about my babies,
That I may never hold again.
Wishing I could turn back time,
I found the strength within,
Hoping the truth would set me free.
I'm in a living Hell,
Every minute lasted an hour,
I slowly died in my cell,
No one even wrote.
I was innocent and scared,
It was so much harder,
Knowing nobody even cared.
A year of my life was stolen,
In a cage I was just rotting,
Imagine being an innocent man,
That everyone had forgotten.
