The day is gone

Never to return

 She is another day older

The special something

She wanted did not come

She waited and waited

And hoped and prayed

But the answer was no

On this another birthday

She will never mention

She will never drop a hint

What it means to her

 To want and not recieve

She will never ask again

 She had rather do without

On this another day

That passed her by again

she smiles through the tears

And hides the wants and dreams

And shows only the face

That others want to see
