Just Another Day

To all the people affected by hurricane sandy.

Cacophony of screams pour out of newspapers

Images of despair tumble on to my heart from TV

Mother Nature rage at its worst

Devastation in its wake.

Winds howling with gleeful fury

Darkness a reality, reminding us of it chasing us at every minute

Rain drowning all semblance of existence

Raging tears of nature seeping in homes of humanity.

In furious wrath of nature I see bent figures of human frailty

Fighting back, pushing aside the natures cruelty

Strength perseverance lining the grim faces

Death staring back at very corner.

World works amid this fearful devastation

Picking up pieces, walking up again on off beaten paths

Losses in heart, minds torn asunder

Grimm reaper’s work all around them.

They are still up..

They are still struggling..

They are still gripping the reality.

Not letting themselves to be fazed by tragedies

They are putting the last bit of energy

To rescue the lost, revive the dead

World watching over the tragic end

Prayers are on lips of every human

Just another day staring back at us on this earth.
