When first captured by her eyes,
Transparent ocean lullabies
Two glasses of intoxicating wine
 Darkened stars slowing Time
She said her name was the daughter of a mountain
Whispering voice, like water from a fountain,
Sculpted marble, the color of flowing--
With her, the grace of frozen motion
When I awoke, the spell broken,
The last note of an echo spoken
Was it a dream, with the stillness of winter?
Were the sheets disturbed? Did a fragrance linger?
Outside my window the sun looked cold and crisp
Inside my heart the weather was furious
How could I fall in Love so deeply?
Time, like honey flowing sweetly
When all she was made her dream in weeping;
A life folded up in the space of sleeping?
Golden leaves on the shore of a Hadean river
No longer guided by the ferryman, I miss her
Memories, curling into a fading wisp
Over Lithe, lapping waters of bliss
