She sits in solitude

Looking deep into her heart

Looking for the source of what makes her hurt

Looking for that split that just wont mend

That hollow ache that just will not abate

Her search of a life time

Her holy grail

Herself

She sits in a mystical light looking at the cracks of herself

Draws a deep breath and peers in

In slow contemplation she pry's those cracks open

They begin to seep

One by one they start to bleed

A slow purge on her journey inward

Behind closed eyes her life is a parade of quiet reflection

Deeper she delves into those quiet places

Looking to fix what she knows is broken

It is not merely reliving all the past pain and hurts

The rejections and doubts and her self worth

Those are not in question

She stands before a spot even she keeps hidden

A place she fears

A place forbidden

That place where truth resides

That place where her answers lie

The inner workings of her being

Her soul

Where her heart dwells

Where her spirit sleeps

That place that is her

Tall and firm she stands wiping away the stains

Listening to the thump of that ache without a name

She softly knocks on that hidden door

On silent hinges it swings forth

A dusty mirror stands on the floor

For many seasons

For many reasons

Shes left this part unexplored

But in the twilight of her life she wants more

Shes looking for the keys to her life

Shes looking to set her self free

Shes looking to soar

With trepidation she looks into that mirror

She staggers and ask one question

Who am I?

Her answer reflected back in a million jagged pieces

How do you find something you can't even describe

How do you fix that ghost that hides inside
