Has your love for me faded?
Is the darkened desire
No longer burning hot
Within your heart?

I can still feel you,
But you have drifted
Just out of my reach.

My fingertips keep searching
To feel your burning hot skin,
But all I find is cold, empty space.

I hear your words of love and devotion,
But why do those tender thoughts
Not reach my soul like they used to?

I remember how you used to embrace
My Heart,

My aching need for you
Has been so strong
And earth-shattering.
I fitted with you like I belonged,
Like the part of you that was missing.

You seduced me with your voice,
And made love to my mind
Before your hand even touched
My shivering skin.

Your deep and calming voice
Kissed my skin
Like a breath from a god.

Now I feel alone,
No longer to be worshipped
Like the goddess you claimed me to be.

What is left
Is a mere mortal,
With her insecurities,
Her hidden faults now
Bared to the world.

The hours of raw passion
Still linger in my mind.
If I close my eyes,
I can hear the soft whispers
And the whimpers of lust
As our screams of ecstasy
Made us one.

All I hear now
Is the hours of silence.
When did I become an obligation,
An afterthought in your life?
When did the promise of
Never-ending love

You are no longer proud
To claim me as
The one.
