Will You Forgive Me?

You questioned my honor twice that I know,
And I felt hurt which fed into my hate.
Will you forgive me so peace will yet grow?
I have honor enough at any rate.

You left me hanging, I held you so dear,
Never knowing what I did that was wrong.
Will you forgive me for being sincere?
I trust you, I know you, let's move along.

You tried to deceive with misdirection,
Using words that were false, and some were true.
Will you forgive me for my next action?
I don't need to place you among the few.

You dropped me from your circle, my good friend,
For reasons I have yet to decipher.
Will you forgive me, did I not attend?
I'll do what I must to pay the piper.

You critiqued my works with words so blasting,
But I could not see any sense to these.
Will you forgive me for my miscasting?
I know now you never meant to displease.

You stabbed me in the back with subtle lies,
And I resented it because of her.
Will you forgive me as your distrust dies?
I have let it go, now will you concur?

You washed your hands of me, reasons unknown,
The truth was, perhaps, you never did care.
Will you forgive me, not leave me alone?
I send you my blessings, with love to spare.
