Good morning, Xander. Hey there, peeps. Are we having a good time? The coffee is now brewed and I have served up my first cuppa. The water is hot for tea, of course.

It is a gloomy day out there. I do dislike getting up at zero dark thirty. But we are out and about now and we should be having a decent Sunday.

Tomorrow I start my radiation therapy to zap the metastasized cancer in my adrenal gland. Five sessions in five days in a row. That will do it, I'm sure. Then sit back and watch as this tumor shrivels up and goes away.

Our contest is cruising along. I hope even more of us get involved. It is rather easy to enter.

The weather was gorgeous today so we headed to our boat and spend a few hours on the water. Have to take advantage of these nice days.

Morning, y'all. Larry, thake care of your old fool self. Keep us posted if you can.

Coffee's on. The tea kettle is kettling to supply the hot water needs for our tea and coco crowd.

Xander, what's a nice neurotic like you doint in this Oasis of culture and refinement. Of course,they let me let slip in so anything's possible. ;) But semi-seriously, welcome and don't hog all of the cookies.The following is top secret, sub rosa and on the hush-hush but someday this week I'll probably enter a longish (2500 or thereabouts) insult to good taste and English letters. Only possible problem is with my current marathon writer's block, I'm not sure about how to submit a 'regular' story much less a contest entry. (sigh)

Thinking of Larry today. Hope his radiation therapy this week does the job.

Finished first and second drafts (much as I do drafts given how I tend to edit on the fly) for another story today. This will be a Flash entry, at the 873 word level. Will let it stew a bit before submitting. It's an idea I had when the comp was first announced but it took me a while to pull it all together in my head. Very celebratory so quite fitting for this comp. My full length entry is kind of on hold. I'll go back to it soon, though.

Off work today, back tomorrow for a few days, then more time off. October is being a bit chaotic that way. Gives me time to write, though.

Well, I have completed two sessions of radiation therapy. I will get three more, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I also have a plumber coming by on Friday to fix a leak in the shower faucet.

I had coffee ready this morning. I don't think anyone stopped by. I finished it up myself this afternoon.

I have another idea for a story. I will get to that quickly.

Larry, hope your treatment, now on its halfway day, is going as smoothly as possible.

I would love a cup of coffee and a handful of Sara's delicious biccies.

In small reasons to be cheerful, as we have a 4 week circuit breaker lockdown here, with no indoor activities, our wonderful line dance teacher has arranged for an outdoor class tomorrow, and even phoned our local MLA to check all the restrictions.

Now we just need the weather to behave itself.

Ah, I am not up on the vagaries of iTunes and likely never will be. I am a died in the wool Windows and Android guy. If I was using a music service, it would likely be Youtube Music (formerly Google Play Music) or Spotify and paid for with good old-fashioned money via my Paypal.

Good afternoon Sara and others. Bit grey and meh here today. Got my flu shot (they finally came out in Ontario) and did some shopping. Otherwise, all work stuff today. Meetings, meetings, meetings, including one where they sucked me in at the last minute (got the invite like 40 minutes before the meeting).

We got our outdoor line dancing class today! Bright sunshine, but we were all wearing our padded jackets! 13 including the teacher so we were just under the limit of 15. It was such fun!

A lemon and ginger tea and some of Sara's delicious cookies would be perfect.

Hello, folks. Sitting here with the first cup of java. I'm waiting for a plumber to come by and fix the leak in my shower.

Later I will go over to the hospital for my last radiation therapy session. That will complete the procedure for the time being and we shall see how it works in the months ahead.

We got some rain last night and it is still wet out there.

Larry, I'm glad you are finished with your treatments.

Cynthia, the outdoor dance class sounds amazing. A neighbor here has been doing yoga classes in a nearby park when weather permits.

My son went to a concert last weekend. It was held at a county fairground. You drove your car in and had your own space. He was very happy to find a safe live music event.

I think I have too many streaming options. Too many choices lead to not making any choice.

It's been warm and humid for the last few days. Today is beautiful. I'll enjoy it because I am sure I'll be complaining about the cold before too long.
