Lovely day here. Too bad it is a work day. At least I am just working on stuff and not attending endless meetings. Kettle is on for tea or other non-coffee beverages.

Sonja did not have a cat. So why was this one making itself at home in her house?

The metal singer made Brenda an interesting offer, but was her interest in the music ... or him?

hi everyone
A beautiful day here
A large iced coffee!
*peeking in the cookie jars * still good.
*giving the adorable mascots fresh water and treats *
No news on the election yet so that is a little nerve racking.
Not much going on here today.. Need to get some writing done. I plan on finishing working on things that didn't make the competition deadline .
Hope everyone is staying safe and sound!

It's day nine of the WL hiatus. Five days to go till I see Jane again and all I can think of is, like, running into her arms and having her stagger backwards in mock alarm as she holds me.

My heart has wi-fi and the password is Christopher Pike.

Morning to all Inspirators who enter and remember to close the door once inside.

Has anyone heard anything about the contest judging? Just didn't seem like a 'really' contest without at least one post on the subject. ;)

Coffee's on, the tea kettle is kettling and there should be enough of Sarah's cookies left over even after I've had my fill.

Later, Inspirators.

Bit early yet, but not too early for the inevitable speculation as to the timeline. Guess we could start an informal pool on the announcement date. I am thinking Monday, November 16. Yeah, it's two weeks from the close but with the way this comp is structured, they may need that long to sort everything out.

Picked up breakfast for those needing it.

It's nice to have coffee ready when I get up. Thanks, Bill. I am going to be very patient with the judging here. It's clear we don't have the large number of human resources needed to do a swift judging process. I have plenty of time.

Good day, all. Coffee is made and the water is hot. We are still watching the results coming in. It is looking so bright at the moment. I'm confident.

Yeah, but the sulking and whining from the White House is getting bloody irritating. I'd call him a big baby but that would be an insult to babies.

Tea and cookies time!

Highlights of the day:

-I'm getting a new mattress.
-I have a new thermostat and my pilot light is on.
-I renewed my Apple Music subscription earlier in the week.
-Three more days till I see Jane again.

My heart has wi-fi and the password is Christopher Pike.

Just in case you haven't heard the good news, according to most of the major media outlets (NBC, CNN, AP, FoxNews, etc.) Joe Biden has been projected to be the next President of the United States. This is a major goodness and makes me almost happy. ;)

Coffee's on the house as is the Earl Grey tea bags and hot water for our DIY tea sippers.

Fills his mug, grabs a handful of Sarah's cookies and heads outside to celebrate.

Later, Inspirators

The highlight of the day:

- We have a new president-elect. He has received more votes than any other presidential candidate in the United States in history.

Thanks, Bill.
There was a mixup with my new mattress so now I'm getting it tomorrow instead but it's okay cause they upgraded it (by way of an apology, I guess). One more night with this old, uncomfortable one.

Oh, and it's day twelve of the WL hiatus. I'm so close I can taste it.

My heart has wi-fi and the password is Christopher Pike.

hi everyone
A large iced coffee sounds yummy
It has been a long day here and I'm ready to relax
I do have fresh cookies today
*moving the old cookies to the emergency cookie tins behind the counter and filling the cookie jars to the tippy top with fresh cookies
In Big Bird we have pecan divines, peanut butter blossoms, ginger snaps and blueberry coconut cookies
In Cookie Monster we have peanut butter blossoms, ginger snaps, maple walnut cookies and cinnamon stars

*giving the adorable mascots fresh water and treats *
It was good to hear the election results are finally announced.
Stay safe everyone!

It's a lovely day. The coffee is hot. Just waiting for it to cool so I can drink it.

We finally got rid of the huge treadmill my wife bought second hand from a neighbor a couple of years ago. She tried to use it but it didn't seem to work well for her. It was ginormous and now it is gone. Phew. We are slowly allowing bits and pieces of our old life to escape and go out into the world. The house is getting bigger as furnishings go out of the front door. It's good.

Morning to the inspired and the inspirational. Coffee's on, water in the tea kettle is hot and Sarah's refurbished the cookie jars. In light of the fate that befell the college football teams of Carl and Sarah (LSU had an open date), let us turn our attention to speculations about the eventual contest winners and the upcoming pro football games.

Think I'll fill my mug to the brim, grab some of Sarah's cookies, then go hunker down on the counter stool way away from the front door (baby, it's gettin real cool outside) and take my own advice.

Inspirators should help themselves and come join in the cogitation.

I've been kind of wishing we kept ours. We ditched it for a rowing machine (lighter and takes less space) but I find walking and cycling are the best forms of exercise for me and a treadmill would let me keep up the former come winter.

More nice weather here. And even after the temperature drops later this week, it does not look too bad, just cool.

Writing drought continues. Got ideas, but not sure what to do with any of them. Just not coming together as stories.

Morning tea. Earl Grey. Hot.

It's the last day of the WL hiatus. I made it and tomorrow I'll finally see my Jane after two long, long weeks.

Also I got my new mattress but I've not used it yet cause it's only eleven in the morning and I'm up having coffee.

My heart has wi-fi and the password is Christopher Pike.

Evening all, just dropping in here to catch up with everyone's news and raid Sara's cookie jar!

I'll grab a lemon and ginger tea while I'm at it!
hi everyone
A little late drop in today
A large iced coffee sounds yummy in the tummy
Not much going on today.
*peeks in the cookie jars * still in good shape
*giving the adorable mascots fresh water and treats *
Hope everyone is having a great day.
The weather is getting chilly here at night almost time for hot chocolate and marshmallows! *cheers *

Good evening. Took advantage of the nice weather and did yard work. My back is complaining bitterly but, hey, it's done. And I got a couple hours of fresh air and exercise out of it.

I shall join henrietta in that lemon and ginger tea.

Morning to all Inspirators. It's Monday; sorry about that. That's the bad news. The good news is my NO Staints beat Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Bucs like the proverbial rented mule, 38-3 over in TB Town.

What passes for winter out here in the desert appears to have arrived. It's 52f at the moment but the forecast high is only 61f. Which reminds me that the coffee pot needs tending along with the tea kettle. Mission accomplished.

Later, Inspirators.
Well, nice to have the coffee ready.

Tomorrow it will be 14 weeks that we have been waiting for the delivery of our new sofa. I think we have been rather patient. I am going to have to make another call.

Oddly, we are actually warmer than that. 68-70 F forecast for today and tomorrow (and this past weekend was up there, too). That's highly unusual for this area in November, though. Usually, I'd been looking at you Southwestern folks with envious eyes by now. Actually, a couple years ago I was in Phoenix around this time, late October I think.

Probably head out for a walk on my lunch break today. Got leaves raked and wasp nest removed (abandoned) yesterday. Saw a nice wolf spider while bagging leaves. Nowhere near a tarantula in size but the closest we get to one up here.

Tea and cookies for break time.

Today I woke up with minimal body pain for the first time in about a year. My new mattress is wonderful and I'm absolutely positive that most, if not all, of my pain was being caused by my old mattress.

...and in other news, it's finally WL day after two long, long weeks. I keep imagining myself jumping into Jane's arms and wrapping my body around her like a koala.

hi everyone
A late drop in. It snowed in my neck of the woods
A large hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows

Not much going on here today just chilling and watching NCIS season 17
*looking in the cookie jars seeing nothing but crumbs cleaning then out and filling them to the tippy top with fresh cookies *
In Big Bird we have : apple cinnamon whippersnappers, carrot cake cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies and maple walnut

In Cookie Monster we have apple cinnamon whippersnappers, ginger snaps, lemon cookies and blueberry crunch cookies
*giving the adorable mascots fresh water and treats *
Stay safe everyone!

That was Jane's flirtiest wink yet and I...I'm...

So how you all are? Someone needs to help Xander overcome his current spell of overheating. That Jane Lynch really wink did a number on his metabolism. ;)

Coffee's on, so is the tea kettle. Sarah's cookies are available so all is well, except, of course, for poor Xander, here in Inspirations.

Later, Inspirators
Good early morning, Xander. Good regular morning, Bill. Nice coffee. See you all later.

...well, can you blame me after not seeing her for two weeks?

Also, I'm pretty sure she was channeling Anne last night, not Sue Sylvester, so that probably helped.

My heart has wi-fi and the password is Christopher Pike.

Good morning, folks. The coffee is hot and the water is ready for tea drinkers.

We have finally established that the delivery of our new sofa will be on Friday between 9:00 and 11:00 in the morning. Now, let's just see if it happens.

We had been considering taking a short trip down to Texas soon. However, with the pandemic now raging even worse than before we will reconsider that. People do not seem to be taking the whole COVID-19 problem seriously. Especially in the "red" states like Oklahoma and Texas.

Maybe some short, quick day trips out to some state parks here in Kansas. Limiting the contacts with people. We shall see.
