I'm currently wearing a t-shirt that says IF LOST, PLEASE RETURN TO JANE LYNCH in colorful letters.

My heart has wi-fi and the password is Christopher Pike.

hi everyone
A large hot chocolate with mini marshmallows will be great.
Hope everyone is having a good day
A late drop in here. Got chores done and I'm being a couch potato.

I have birthday cookies for everyone!
Happy Birthday Xander

Stay safe everyone!

Good evening, all. Getting too late for caffeine so an herbal tea will do. Lemon ginger is my usual.

Happy birthday to Xander! I'd gift wrap Jane Lynch for you but kidnapping is still a crime last I checked and, in any case, I doubt I'd be able to convince the border folks that it's essential enough to let me cross.

Sonja did not have a cat. So why was this one making itself at home in her house?

Honestly, it's the thought that counts more than anything.

Also I got a coffee mug with her face on it. Future WL days will be even more special now.

My heart has wi-fi and the password is Christopher Pike.

Victor just came back in from his walkies wearing his little red hoodie. It gives him a little heat but not on his ears. I have to warm them up with my hands.

My cuppa java is cooling down a bit. The pot is fresh for all the good inspirations. Oh, there is plenty of hot water as well.

We will get some writing done today.

Oh, it is Kasumi's birthday today. But the lady has not been here since 2013. Wonder where she is?

Morning on this momentous Hump Day. Just why it's momentous beats me. If any of y'all got any suggestions, pass them along.
EDIT #1: Today is momentous on account as how it's the birthday of, Jane Austen.

Prior to the onslaught of some serious cogitating, I'll grab a mug full of the coffee Vic's boon companion and ear warmer upper has prepared, snag a handful of Sarah's cookies and go sit in the meditation corner near the heater.
EDIT #2: Stop. Do not pass go but instead, direct your attention to Red Writer's new story, 'The Runner'. You can thank me later for this 'heads up'.

Later Inspirators.
I need to catch up on my reading. The inability to concentrate for any length of time is an unwelcome lingering effect of Covid or the stress of being sick or the meds, take your pick. I'm less than thrilled. I can now manage a short story but nothing longer. Hopefully the issue will resolve itself over time.

It's a weird weather day here. We've had snow that turned to sleet, then rain now back to sleet. overnight high winds are predicted and everything wet will freeze. Thankfully no one needs to be anywhere tomorrow. It's part of the Noreaster heading up the eastern seaboard. I wanted some snow, it makes everything look so much prettier. It's a good night to put on some Christmas pajamas and bake cookies.

I hope everyone is doing well.

I'll take a few cookies to much on before dinner.

Cheers!
Morning to all who enter Inspirations looking for some or with a load of the stuff to share.

Coffee's on and the tea kettle is doing its thing. I'm a bit worried that Sarah has not made a recent appearance. With her thermostat out and her living on a mountain, you think maybe her computer froze? ;)

Gill, bless your heart and all other pertinent anatomical particularities. If you do feel up to reading a short story or two, let me suggest the new one by, Red Writer, 'The Runner'. It's already earned a much deserved RR. Check it out if you can.

Fortunately, Sarah has stockpiled a generous supply of Christmas cookies. I'll take only a gentlemanly number and then, along with my mug full of caffeinated bliss, I'll go sit next to the heater and read the newest story just posted by Mono.

Later, Inspirators s
I see that Bill has been here an hour ago and all is well in Inspiration land. By the way, Bill, Sara is doing well. Her thermostat was supposed to be replaced tomorrow but she has three electric space heaters keeping her warm. I expect to see her showing up this afternoon with cookies.

I'm going to have to make an appointment with a dental surgeon to take out the remaining stub of a tooth that broke off last evening. That will be the second one within 6 months. That's the problem with growing old.

I read the story "The Runner" when it was first posted before it earned an RR. I shared your opinion about its worth, Bill. Too bad more people don't comment and vote on stories. It would do a lot to make the newer writers feel that it was all worth the effort. Of course, it would help if the newer writers would try to support folks as well. But we have had this discussion many times in the past.

I'm off for the holidays starting next Monday so might get some writing done. not sure what as of yet. I have some work done on a story in the universe of Night of the Wind. I have been tossing around ideas for the literary challenge. And there's always the chance that some new idea will spawn in my brain.

Hope Sara is keeping warm. We actually turn our thermostat down and use a space heater to just heat the home office during the day. Keeps the heating bills down in our frigid Canadian winter.

Good luck with the tooth, Larry. I have a gap myself but that was a battle that went on for like a decade. Was going to get an implant done but backed off when COVID resurged here. Maybe next year if things quiet down and/or I get vaccinated (looks like we are going to lag behind the US though).

Sonja did not have a cat. So why was this one making itself at home in her house?

Hello friends.
Just thought I would drop in and say hi, maybe share a coffee and one of Sara's delicious cookies.

My back is mending albeit slowly. It seems I cracked a rib.

So many of us are suffering, right now and Christmas is so near. Hopefully we can all salvage something for next week and do our best to have a good time, regardless.

I am sure that we will not let this vile disease beat us and surely it won't if we all take precautions against it.

I wish you all the best for the holidays and leave you with a little reminder of the poem I wrote an incredible five years ago. Where on earth did that time go?

Hi everyone
A large ginger ale pretty please
sick today.. So bad finally had to give in and go see a doctor.
Caught a nasty bug... Doc called it a gastrical viral infection. It is miserable. Should run its course in 3 to 10 days.. Not contagious at the moment the symptoms were present Couple of days ago so I'm past the contagious phase so that is a good thing. Lots of rest and to stay hydrated is the doctor's orders.
I did bring fresh cookies today
*moving the old cookies to the emergency cookie tins behind the counter and filling the cookie jars to the tippy top with fresh cookies
*
In Big Bird we have oatmeal raisin cookies, butterscotch marshmallow bar cookies, snow puffs and lemon ginger cookies
In Cookie Monster we have chocolate chip cookies, butterscotch marshmallow bar cookies, snow flake cookies and ginger snaps
*giving the adorable mascots fresh water and treats *
Back to burrowing under my warm blanket
Stay safe everyone!

Yuck. I hate those. Remember being sick Easter weekend once with norovirus or similar. Nasty stuff. Take care and get well.

At least you were still able to bring cookies.

Sonja did not have a cat. So why was this one making itself at home in her house?

Hugs to you, Sara, hope you're feeling better soon! And hugs to you, Gill. I do hope you are slowly improving.

It's been a busy few weeks, so good to catch up with everyone here. My thoughts are will all who have lost loved ones this year. HUGS.

Well done to Rumps for keeping that coffee pot going and nice to see all the regulars here. And thanks, Sara for all the cookies!

I can't agree more on how excellent Redwriter's story was. Wonderful!

I'll grab and coffee and some of those delicious cookies.
Morning and welcome to Inspirations or as some might think, Lourdes of the Cyberverse. Best wishes to all the sick, afflicted, depressed and just plain worn out.

Coffee's on, the tea kettle is doing its thing, and sickly Sarah stopped by yesterday to restock the cookie supply. BTW, there better be some chocolate chip cookies left -- just saying. ;)

Larry, I checked out all the comments on Red Writer's story before giving it that, RR. Since all of them reflected your thoughts, the award seemed a no-brainer which is, of course, my specialty.

Later, Inspirators.
The coffee is tasting especially good today, Thanks, Bill. I'm so glad you stopped by this morning, Cynthia. You do so brighten the day for us.

I hope Red Writer was pleased to receive his Recommended Read. It's good when the stories that give us that extra effort are rewarded.

It's probably disappointing for a lot of writers here when they receive so few comments and votes. But that is the way it goes here. I just wish that everyone would try and spread a little kindness to the other writers and read each other's work. I know that since Molly gave us her challenge to read more often I have made sure to read more. I must say, there are some stories that I simply cannot comment and vote on. I do try to at least read all of them.

We are going to be so happy when this year is over. True, my fellow Inspirators? It is time to wrap it up.

I need to curl up in Jane's lap and forget everything else.

Just her and I, a warm blanket or two, and snuggles for as long as I want and/or need them.

That's all I'm asking. Please...

My heart has wi-fi and the password is Christopher Pike.

Hi everyone
Still under the weather.. A large hot tea would be great.
The thermostat isn't here yet so the landlord's husband can't install it today as planned which is okay I don't want to expose anyone else to what I got.
Curling up on the couch is the only plan for today.. I'll catch up on chores later today or tomorrow..
*peeks in the cookie jars *still in good shape
*leaves fresh water and treats for the little adorable mascots *
Stay safe everyone!

We are getting closer and closer to a new year. It is going to be better, I'm sure.

I'll get the coffee percolating and the tea kettle on the boil. Time to get up and around, my friends.

It is exactly freezing outside and Victor has been good. He did his job for the morning and he is ready for his next nap.

I will try to enjoy the weekend. Next week I have some important medical appointments. On Monday I have my 3 month CT scan to see how the cancer guys are doing inside me. Then in the afternoon my urologist will go in there and check my bladder for signs of cancer there. So far that has always been clean since he cleared out all the bladder cancer about 2 years ago. I will have a chat with my oncologist on Tuesday concerning what the CT scan gives us a picture of in my chest and pelvis, along with the left hip bone.

This coming year has to be better, don't y'all think? Gotta be better.

Larry, here's hoping and praying you are right because anything worse would be both unthinkable and probably unendurable, at least for some of us. (sigh)

For me, since LSU finished its undefeated football season by winning the national championship January 13, dang near everything has been most regrettable.

Time for your coffee and Sarah's cookies. That combo is one of the few recent goodies.

Later, Inspirators.

Please don't laugh at me for this cause I'm already insecure enough, but I finally have something to call Jane other than by her name, Lady Jane, or wife: Neenee.

(My friend suggested Janey but my brain immediately shortened it for some reason...so...there we are.)

I think it's great that you have a name you can call Jane that is all yours!

Me too. Honestly, I was getting tired of referring to her as Wife so much. I...she's my safe place and I'd be lost without her.

That's lovely, Xander!

Larry, fingers and toes crossed for good news from all your medical appointments this week. Please keep us posted.

Sara, glad you're starting to feel a bit better!

Hello Bill. HUGS to you.

I'll grab a coffee and some of those delicious cookies Sara always kindly supplies us with.
Time for a fresh pot of coffee, I'm sure.

Victor is settled down beside my leg to get his morning nap.

Putting the kettle on for tea. Anyone else need hot water?

Finally got around to reading A Runner. Magnificent. First time I've tweeted a Stories Space story that wasn't mine, though that's something I plan to do more of. Good way to promote the site (hint hint). Thanks for the recommendations, folks.

I'm off for the holiday period so have some ideas around doing some writing. We shall see what comes of it.

Sonja did not have a cat. So why was this one making itself at home in her house?

Ah, coffee and cookies, the true 'Breakfast of Champions'. Many thanks to Larry and Sarah for the treats.

And that reminds me -- has anyone heard fro our cold and sickly Sarah? Here thermostat was supposed to have been repaired on Friday. If so, here's hoping she's warmer now and recovering from whatever was ailing her.

Larry, best I recall, you will be going one-on-one with various medicos tomorrow. Be sure to give us a report on all those check-ups.

Oh yeah, and stratch Vic's ears for me while I obtain a mug full of coffee and a handful of Sarah's cookies and plant myself at the table nearest the heater.

Later, Inspirators.

I generally tweet my own stories. That is why my views are so high, especially for The Long Road Home series.
