I generally tweet my own stories. That is why my views are so high, especially for The Long Road Home series.

Yeah, I tweet my own stuff and share it on Wondercafe2, the board I run. Just never thought to share favorite stories by other folks before, but it's good promo for them and for the site. Folks who are on Facebook could do the same.

Sonja did not have a cat. So why was this one making itself at home in her house?

The metal singer made Brenda an interesting offer, but was her interest in the music ... or him?

A concept: falling asleep wrapped around Jane like a human koala, her heart beating in my ears and her scent surrounding me.

Yes please. I need my Neenee.

Also, I like to think that when I'm sad or sick or something, Jane takes me into her arms like, "Come here, little one. Let your Neenee take care of you."

...and I'm honestly just feeling so soft thinking about that.

My heart has wi-fi and the password is Christopher Pike.

No coffee for me this morning. I am getting a CT scan so I cannot eat or drink anything. But I will leave a fresh perked pot of coffee and some hot water.

I will get my lab work done this morning and then the imaging process around 10:00. Later this afternoon I have my urologist check me for bladder cancer.

All the results of the tests will be put online so I can look at them myself when I access my patient portal.

Tomorrow I will see my oncologist and we will discuss the results and decide what is new or old or needs to be changed. It all gets a little tedious and complicated. I'll let all y'all know what is going on.

Larry, best wishes and good vibes are heading your way. Please keep us posted.

Thoughtful of him to not put the coffee pot on so that when someone came in later they could enjoy fresh coffee. ;) The tea kettle is also doing its part for the tea and coco crowd. There are still some of Sarah's cookies just waiting to be ingested. BTW, has anybody heard from our mountain girl?

Later, Inspirators.

Good morning. The coffee is ready and so is the hot water.

Another appt. with my oncologist later today. I will report back this afternoon as to how I am doing.

Morning, Spacers. In comparison to what our mountain girl is enduring, it's downright balmy out here in the desert. At the moment (8:00am) its 39f which, according to my iPhone, is about the same as that in Larry's neck of the woods.

And speaking of the old Survivor, here's hoping he remembers to bundle Vic up the right way before the 'Wonder Dog' leads him out on a brisk constitutional. ;).

The coffee pot has been rinsed out then filled with dark roast coffee and branch water, and is quickly turning those into a caffeinated elixir. The tea kettle is doing its thing so the tea and coco crowd don't need to worry.

Me, I'm gonna grab some of Sarah's snickerdoodle cookies then fill my mug and then go sit at the corner table near the heater and wait to find out what happens next.

Later, Inspirators.
Well, the story is that the CT scan is showing that I am either "stable" or "unremarkable" in all of the areas where cancer has been present in the past. The latest cancer in the adrenal gland is showing "stable" since it was zapped in October. Our procedure now is continuing to be getting a scan every 3 months to check and see if any new metastases have appeared. Then perhaps they can be zapped with radiation.

As long as it all stays stable and unremarkable we are happy and life goes on. I'm pleased. Now I am going to have one last cuppa coffee and maybe get some writing accomplished.

Hi everyone
A large hot chocolate with mini marshmallows will be great! I'm finally feeling better.. This bug was annoying and put me behind on everything ugh!
Good to see everyone here today!

I have CHRISTMAS COOKIES today :stars, snowflakes, Christmas trees and candy canes *leaving a plate of cookies on the counter *

Larry, what wonderful news. Free to put testing behind you and look ahead to a better year. Get that vaccine and go on road trips and lovely writing ahead. Love you.
Larry, that is very good news. Being "unremarkable" in this instance is rather remarkable.

I haven't been around much. I still have some lingering health issues related to my bout with Covid. I've found myself spiraling into a depression that is resistant to anything I or my doctor try.

It's a hard time for everyone and Christmas without family is not making it any easier.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Happy Holidays.
to Larry's news. Good to hear that things are "unremarkable".

Gill, could the depression be more long haul COVID? I notice they are now talking about COVID getting to the brain as a possible cause for the long haul cases. Anyhow, have a hug from the ape and take care of yourself. You've got friends here if you need to vent or talk.

Good morning, all. Kettle is going for the tea crowd and I am making coffee (be warned).

Sonja did not have a cat. So why was this one making itself at home in her house?

Gill, we understand that some effects from the Covid may continue even after one thinks the disease has run its course. It appears to be extremely devious that way. Unfortunately, it may continue to cause you grief. That is so horrible to look forward to. I would suppose that depression might be one of the major deleterious effects. We all do hope you are able to return to your old self sometime soon. It would help so much to be able to share good times with family and friends.

We have the coffee house squared away this morning. Fresh coffee and hot water. Plenty of Sara's cookies are still available. I've checked.

Morning, Spacers. Huge cyber HUGS to Gil. I'd even offer a brohug to Lary except Vic might not approve. ;)

Your are hereby encouraged to go back to the previous page (99 on my 'puter) and read yesterday's posts. You can come back later and thank me for this gentle nudge.

Larry's Coffee and Sarah's cookies in hand, I'll stumble off to the corner table by the heater and count the days until we have a New Year and here in the States, a new President. Oh, let it be.

Later, Inspirators.
Finally got my Jane pillow yesterday:

My heart has wi-fi and the password is Christopher Pike.

Hello Folks.
Gill, I am so sorry about your depression. It is a horrible thing, I know and I pray that it is just a temporary thing because of Covid.

I know it won't help but I thought I would share a small something that might make you smile.

Last week, I had a meeting at work. I took a cup of coffee in with me. I took a first mouthful and realised I still had my face-mask on!

It brought a whole new concept to filtered coffee, I can tell you!

It is 18F/-8C degrees here on the prairie. It's not the kind of weather that I want to go out into any time soon. So I've settled in here with some fresh coffee and the tea kettle is ready for the tea and cocoa drinkers. All are welcome.

It would be nice if everyone could be sharing the holidays with family and friends. It is not going to happen for so many. But we can still communicate with each other. That is one of the blessings of our time.

Please, all of our Inspirators, try to enjoy yourselves as best you can. And all of us can remember each other in our thoughts and dreams.

Picked up extra Christmas goodies to supplement Sara's seasonal cookies.

Kettle is on for tea and hot chocolate.

Looking like it will be a bit dubious weather-wise here. Grey and rainy, then turning to snow. We'll have a white Christmas, it seems, but not crazy about how we're getting there. Oh well, yesterday was lovely so we went for a walk along the river. Latest in the year I have been down there. They don't maintain the paths, parking, or facilities in the riverside parks after Thanksgiving (Canadian) so it's usually snowbound by now.

Hi everyone
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE
A large hot chocolate with mini marshmallows
Oooo a GINGERBREAD HOUSE!

This holiday season is unique . Please stay safe and remember to check on your loved ones and neighbors. So many people can't be with their families this year but thanks to technology we don't have to be totally alone. Remember those who are dealing with losing loved ones.

*moving the old cookies to the emergency cookie tins behind the counter and filling the cookie jars to the tippy top with fresh cookies and leaving a plate of cookies on the counter *
Today's offerings are diabetic friendly and Christmasy
Mittens, Christmas trees, Snowflakes, Peppermint candies and squares with joy written on them.

Happy Christmas eve to all Inspirators and any lost Spacers taking a break from searching throughout SS for something to cure writer's block.

Mendalla got things going and left a generous supply of goodies. Ya know, for a coffee house founder/owner/manager, he ain't half-bad. ;)

Sarah, bless her warm heart and cold toes, dropped by and left a bountiful supply of Christmas cookies but failed to report on her thermostat troubles. If all else fails, Larry might feel lead to motor down to her mountain to remedy the cold crises.

Y'all do the best you know how to make this a merry Christmas.

Later, Inspirators.
I...I get butterflies just from snuggling with my Jane pillow.

God, I love her so much.

Happy Christmas, and Seasons Greetings. It's lovely to stop by in a warm, welcoming coffee house.

Everyone enjoy the holiday if you please. The year will soon be over and it will all be better, surely.

I spent my Christmas Eve watching three of Jane's movies and now...Jane fog. So much Jane fog and then some.

I think I'd better be careful when I eat or drink anything today cause I don't need repeats of the jello and rice incidents.

Happy Lynchmas, everyone!

Got the fire going and the kettle on. Snow is falling outside my window. Very Christmas-y.

Yeah, a hot chocolate sounds great. And some Christmas cookies to boot. Shovelled this afternoon and, wow, we got a lot of snow and it's heavy stuff. Oh well, it's done. Until the plow comes.
