Life is keeping me busy—aging sucks
First part fair enough, life should do that. Second part--very dubious, aging happens, and is unavoidable. I went through a phase when I determined 'I will never age' --stupid contention since the alternative is not worth considering, and the Gods have thrown missiles, (two cancers, a heart attack, a hernia, atrial fibrillation, a carcinoma on my scalp, two cataract operations) all of them are thrown off--although, a couple lurk somewhere in the shadows, waiting. A pacemaker keeps my heart rate normal and my breathings okay.
I re-read your 'Misery Love Company' piece and it was so light, despite being about an error. When you were able to laugh about it later that is a measure of how to look at life. I have no idea what tragedies have befallen you in the intervening years since that story, they must have been bad to land you with this depressive state.
I don't know what you mean by 'aging', but I have yet another birthday in April and I'll wager you have many more years than I have to begin saying FY to your troubles and show your sons that your sense of humour still remains.
