If I Die

If I die.

If I leave. Never to return. At the end of each day what's it for.

At day's end.

We're all alone. On our own. Knowing that what's in our minds is all there is.

Except for love.

Without our him or our her we learn all is worthless. The world continues.

Even if we're gone.

To die.

To end our days?

And the applause rings out as we sing our song of respite and faith. In our worth.

If we die we live within him or her. We live.

Dancing upon the stair steps of glory.
