She Hugged Me

She hugged me. I didn't initiate the embrace. I never tried to touch her at all.

That's when we met for the first time. In person. She hugged me.

She touched my knee while we were sitting at the table. And smiled at me.

I was happy. You'll never know how happy. I've tried to express it many times, but I never seem to get it right. It's beyond my simple powers to make it clear how much it meant to me.

And she hugged me when we said goodbye.

Goodbye. It was the final goodbye. Why?
