Breakfast in the Village

It's another lovely day in the Village.

Birds are singing and butterflies are floating.

Waking I get this notion to fix breakfast for my love.

Bouncing down my stairs, Parker and Bailey leading the way.

In the kitchen to my dismay, nothing in the fridge or cupboards they are bare.

I am blessed for three blocks away sits my local grocer.

Lucky beagle, Parker rides to the grocer, ears flapping in the breeze.

Leaving Bailey my guard cat at the door.

Telling myself this will be a quick run and back before my love stirs awake.

Fresh produce first in the cart.

Turning left up the next isle I go pass the paper goods.

Eggs..... check

Milk and cheese ....check and check.

Up and down the isles I push my cart.

Green Knight English tea and to the left English muffins await.

Looking at my watch a smile on my face close to done in record time.

Till I stop at the last isle, jams and peanut butter.

Two jams blackberry and peach rest next to the muffins.

Last stop in front of the shelves with peanut butter.

Jiff and Peter Pan stare back at me.

Not needing to think a moment Jiff in the cart.

Did I see a frown on Peter Pan's face as I raced to the front.

Later this wonderful morning on my patio we had breakfast.

Cheese omelettes, English muffins and Sunday paper.

Breakfast in the Village, with my love.

Kisses, giggles as we eat our breakfast.

Birds singing and butterflies floating.

Life is great in the Village.
