More Grandly Than We Knew

Darkling ere the dawn

This is true if all else fails,
we traveled much we two,
within our hearts,
between our minds,
remembering more, much more,
teaching you and reaching me
more grandly than we knew.

So much has been together,
so much has been renewed,
smell the moisture, wetness,
hear the splashing streets,
far and wide we wandered
and we will anew.

Both of us, the pair of us,
we went where I had been,
where we have been was romance
so both of us are true,
catching up and sharing altogether,
learning once again
more grandly than we knew.

You have slept
where I had slept,
the same was true for me,
running fingers over flesh,
releasing spells anew.

Together we shared bodies damp,
together all we knew,
together down broad highways
darkling ere the dawn,
even up bright roadways,
with shining lights above.

Making love was easy
when we traveled far,
far beyond horizons seen
with footsteps in the sand.

Lying next to someone rising under me
pulling her towards me
sighing as she smiles at last
as she always will
when she holds the trembling truth
there within her hands,
the growing love between us now
more grandly than we knew.

Together it is final
for reasons we both know,
our passions are between us,
your quivering lust is mine,
still mine,
forever it will be.

We travel darkling highways now
beneath the setting sun,
our love will grow obsessively
wherever we may be,
and we will travel through our world
more grandly than we knew.
