Again and Again: The Endless Loop

Another of the people you meet along the way in life. This one is an eager sort...

Hey, listen up! Here’s a fantastic notion!
You ought to hurry and put it in motion.

What’s that, you don’t like it? In fact you disagree?
I'll just keep repeating, ’til you concur with me.

Unfazed by your refusals, I'll push again and again.
My idea might grow on you by time number ten.

Your methods may be fine, but mine are even better.
Now to convince you, shall I put it in a letter?

Don’t get all huffy; it was merely a suggestion.
My motives are pure — that’s surely beyond question.

My persistence may be a tad (or so) annoying;
Indeed, some would say it is bordering on cloying.

I'm so, so sorry! I never meant to cause offense.
It's just that...well, sometimes I run low on common sense.

Now I’ve learned my lesson, I’ll be quiet as can be.
Go about your business; you won’t even notice me.

[tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock]

I’ve had a great idea — it’s much better than the last.
You'll really want to do this, and you'd best take action fast!

And so on, and so forth should the chronicle go on?
Continuing is pointless; the cycle is foregone.
