.

I step slowly from the cab,
Generously paying the tab,
The drivers kind of cute,
Not paying attention while I gab.

Tell the cabbie, thank you ma'am,
Handing her a few clams,
Stepping out of the car
The door shuts with a slam.

There's a tablet here, I know.
Wallet's in the pocket fo' sho.
No phone in the other!
Oh, no, where did it go?

I pat my self down,
Starting to frown,
I've lost my phone
I'm going to drown.

I feel the panic set in,
Cold sweat on my skin,
I can't call anyone!
No phone until when?!!!

Call the police! Call the mayor!
What shall I do? How can I call?
My hair's getting grayer!
My phone is gone, say a prayer!

Hark! Is that wifi I see?
My tablet's still with me!
Quick to the internet!
"Gtalk! Skype! Email," I squee!

A friend in need
is a friend indeed
She called that cabbie
I didn't need to plead.

The cabbie made a return trip,
Though at a very slow clip,
Nothing was lost,
And gave a much bigger tip!
