Fallen Angel

This is personal but dedicated to all the women who have been in abusive situations.

Angel with robes of white
And ever so pure at heart
Your beauty is given
Completely free of charge
Yes, angels are majestic
Completely worthy of awe
The angel with the most
Beauty is the angel God
Holds in his arms
No, God doesn’t love her
Any more or any less than
The rest of his angels
This one is more unique
Than the rest
This angel’s robes are full
Of holes, tattered and torn
From all her trials and tribulations
Her halo has lost some of it’s shine
There’s blood dripping down
Her back where her wings
Have been pulled out by those
Who assumed they could hold her back
Her hair is a hot mess, tangled and frizzy
Her battle scars show when you look
In her eyes
She has a tear stained face
Dirt is on her hands, knees, and feet
From her many battles and few defeats
The other angels ignore her pleas
This one beautiful angel
Lays at Jesus’ feet
Her tears begin to wash the feet
Of her Lord as he kneels down and picks
Her up in his arms
He carries her to the father
As a tear streams down his cheek
He knows the love and humility
His faithful angel has shown
And what she needs to carry on
He laid her in his fathers arms as
God held her he confessed to her that
Because of her scars she was the most
Beautiful angel on Earth
Her tattered torn robe and the mess
She is adds to her uniqueness
Very few angels are able to go
Where she has been and still
Fall at the feet of Jesus
And praise him
