Fear of the unknown

Tags: fears, longing

Can one overcome the fears of the unknown

Tonight I lay in my bed empty and cold
I wish that you were here for me to hold
We’ve talked by the hour, how it will be
When you arrive to finally be here with me

The dreams will come true, I know they will
But deep in my heart, I’m scared still
Of the disappoint I’m afraid you’ll feel
Will you embrace me or turn on your heel

Will you run for the door, and not look back
Will my heart shudder, tremble and crack
Or on your face will there be a smile
As you kiss me and whisper I’m staying awhile

These fears to me are all to real
Who can say how we will feel
I only know that we have waited
Its now time, for that hunger to be sated
