I'm Just Saying

I'm just saying, you simply must live for today.

It's all balancing on a wire, don't you know?
Balancing on a wire
and ready to fall.

Smell that?
It's the perfume of unbridled passion
wafting on the zephyrs
of emotions.

My emotions and yours when we looked up
and saw that special glance,
and the wrinkles
in the corners
of the eye.

The crinkles of comprehension,
knowing that the day was but a chance,
but perchance, more.

A beginning to living life even more
artistically in so many
special ways.

The special way you touched me
upon that first meeting.

Sitting there along the cobblestoned
streets of discovery
with cups of coffee
our smiles of delight in the
heightened melodies of gently quiet birdsong.

Brushing my thigh with a finger
or two.

I took in the odor of your palms,
kissing them, and tongue-tip licking
to giggling glee.

You must have felt the skill
of the artist in me,
and I in you,
soon to complete that day.

A lifetime in a glance,
a smile,
an acceptance of the offering and receipt.

yes, the passion was released.

And nothing tentative,
my dear,
in the magical manipulations
we shared
as our bodies felt the moment,
the eternal moment,
of fulfillment
once more.

Living for the day.
