On a cool starry night
with the full moon high in the sky
I lean against a tree. 
Just thinking, hoping, watching
to catch sight of a falling star.

While I wait my thoughts drift
to my friends and family
wondering how they are?
what they are doing?
and if they too,
are enjoying this beautiful night.

Seeing a falling star
I reach out and catch it
then put it in my pocket
and make this, my wish.

That all my family and friends
near and far find happiness,
enjoyment and love
that will forever warm their hearts...
