To capture a ravens heart

To capture a ravens heart

trying to capture a reluctant heart

there once was a man who use to watch a raven fly

day by day he watched her climb

he watched as she dipped her wings way up high

once he even heard her cry

once she flew close enough for him to see the colors in her eyes

and he begin to ponder why she cried

because in his eyes her spirit shined

so day by day he watched her fly

till he begin to hear the loneliness in her cry's as she raced across the sky's

so he set out to capture a ravens heart

he knew he would have to be tricky

because many had tired and lost

she kept her wings tight around herself

each day he watched and whispered soft words she could hear from far away

each day she circled closer to him

till his words worked and she stood in front of him

and she asked in a soft breath why do you seek so

and he answered for love you know

she smiled and answered him so love is a sword we all there has to be more

then she flew

he watched her soar wanting her heart all the more

each day he watched her soar and dip trying to find the key that made her tick

he spoke words of love till finally she begin to believe

never once did she question his heart you see

so she gave him her own wrapping him a love he had never known

she showed him everything she was

she shared her heart and soul

so in secret they loved

a short sweet time that made her think she was a step above

in his arms she knew no pain for he took it and tossed it away

he loved his raven like she never knew

his heart she carried as she flew

together we will be soon

she floats above with his promise in her heart, as each day she waits

each day she cry's, each day she wonders why

each day she searches the skys.
