White Before Blue

I've been searching for years now and maybe I still havent found it (too soon too soon) but at least I worked up enough courage to hold your hand
It took me 4 hours to do it but I did it
and I felt the blood rush from fingers to body to heart to brain.

an electric current flowing through veins sparking an interest that won't die
to the point of lacking sleep and erasing desires to get high
where a smile's plastered on your face from morning to night
and you go to write and you can't even keep a steady rhyme

and it all comes out cheesy, 6th grade lyrics written in math textbook
"Mest" and "Good Charlotte" type lyrics
not that it really matters anyway words are all bullshit
you can write and say all you want but who really reads it

it's almost as if you go from relationship to relationship
just to recreate and reexperience a first kiss
the energy that sparks and the excitement of something fresh and new
something white that has yet to turn blue,
where you can still stand me, and I can still stand you

a 50 first dates scenario for the ages

one date and we both want nothing more than to fall asleep together
cus there's nothing like falling asleep next to someone you really like
waking up from all your blissfull dreams
and realizing reality is just as sweet
