Who Was Watching

Who was watching as the moon rose

Who would gather bowls of primrose

Just the one whose soul is dreaming

That the hopes that still keep streaming

Will be raining down upon her

If she only lives with honor

And accepts the world of beauty

Comes to those who follow duty

Oaths are made to those they cherish

Knowing faith will never perish

While the stars continue glowing

And the mists of time are growing

As around her faithful lover

Turtle doves in dules still hover

So my darling never waver

Taste the wine, enjoy the flavor

Of a love that lasts forever

Do not think about a never

In your dreams of future living

With your dearest one still giving

All he has and all his heart knows

Singing passion while your love grows

Take his offering with pleasure

You are still his purest treasure

And you always were and will be

You must know what would fulfill me

Many paint me as obsessing

But I know you as my blessing.
