Maybe? I'm a bit uninspired at the moment but maybe a new comp would give me some ideas. No rush, though. I'm working steadily until Christmas holidays so won't be doing much writing until then anyhow.

Hi people
A large iced coffee sounds yummy in the tummy my throat is feeling a little bit better.
A quiet day here might get a Scamp Adventure written today it's lomg overdue
I do have fresh cookies today :
*moving the old cookies to the emergency cookie tins behind the counter and filling the cookie jars to the tippy top with fresh cookies *
In Big Bird we have chocolate chip cookies, pecan divines, blueberry crunch cookies and butterscotch marshmallow crunch
In Cookie Monster we have butterscotch marshmallow crunch, peanut butter blossoms, cappuccino royale cookies and ginger snaps

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

It's going to be a quiet holiday here with just my husband and youngest son. I can't have family over, no one knows if or how long immunity from Covid may last. I also can't afford to get even a cold at this point. Covid comes with a whole range of awful things. I am trying to be grateful but worry I will never feel normal again. My lung capacity is abysmal so I can't do a whole lot. But my family is healthy even if I can not see some of them.

I did manage to make a pie with my son's help. He and my husband came up with a Frankenstein Thanksgiving pie. It's cheesecake on the bottom, then a pumpkin pie layer, an apple pie layer, and topped off with a streusel topping. We made it last year and it's delicious.

I hope everyone has a fantastic Thanksgiving.

Stay safe and healthy and enjoy the day.

It has not been an easy year, so many trials and tribulations, so many uncertainties ..the list goes on and on ..BUT 😂😂😃 there is always a but 😃 ..we push on, one day at a time, one breath at a time, one step at a time. So many times I have wanted to sleep the day away or be left alone ..be invisible. Here I am 😂😃 not going to happen ..I am here ..oopsies, sorry about that little cray cray ..got a little emotional ..don't mind me

It's just an ordinary Thursday in these here parts, with the next lockdown starting tomorrow. I've stocked up on Christmassy fabric to make jolly masks as Christmas gifts which I'm slowly putting together. Very much a home-made affair this year.

I'll grab a coffee and a handful of Sara's delicious cookies to get me started today!

My sister is doing good she made a feast and kept my mom's tradition of inviting people who don't have a place to go to come to the house for Thanksgiving.

It was a hard Thanksgiving for my family too tbh cause it was the first one without my grandpa (he died at the end of April at the age of 104).

...but I guess it'll be easier with time.

It was a fine Thanksgiving holiday for us here. Just the three of us, Paula, Victor, and Larry. I even got the gutters cleaned. It only took about 15 minutes to do it and my wife only came close to a heart attack a couple of times. Now I won't need to do it again until next year.

Have some coffee folks, or make yourself a cuppa tea. It's going to be a lovely day.

Major grocery shopping trip today. Stocking up. Weather is lovely, if on the cold side.

What sports are functioning down there? NFL? NCAA? The Grey Cup, our national football (the Canadian version of American football, that is) championship would normally be going down either last week or this week but the CFL cancelled their 2020 season rather than deal with COVID. And I think our university football is similarly defunct this year, else I would be hearing my alma mater down the street crowing again (they've had a run of good seasons of late).

Anyhow, no leftovers here. Not a turkey in sight. Frankly not fond of the bird so we pretty much only do one if we are hosting Christmas.
