Comes The Change

Accept your role, it will not change
While takers have the upper hand,
But know that it will not derange
Your life beyond a mere demand
To serve the trolls that hold control
Of all our joy and all that's dear,
Just wait to hear the first drum roll
And watch as plunderers know fear.

Soon comes the revolution friends
That sends the monsters to their fate
And shadows fall upon the ends
Of evil creatures filled with hate.
The new world comes to fill our need
With breaths of life that will not cease,
But slowly gives us hope, not greed,
To make our world a place of peace.

The singing larks may watch the strife
For freedom often bears a cost
In pain and tears and loss of life,
And all the youth that will be lost
To still the beast of avarice
That grew and ate the best of us,
Leaving but a cicatrice.
It is and ever has been thus.

My promise is to all the weak
That we will not endure for long
The rapine that has reached its peak
With honest right replaced by wrong.
The partisans will rise and win
As true compatriots of faith.
Our loving kindness once again
Turns evil into just a wraith.
