Never does it cease to amaze
Walking through nature's maze
What is missed as I pass
Hidden amongst the grass
Dew drops glistening in the sun
Webs of silk that spiders spun
Subtle shades of color in the trees
Warmth carried upon a soft breeze
Roaring creek a song does sing
Sounds taken for granted ring
Birds and insects greet a new day
Silhouetted as they float and play
Against the rising sun
A tale needing spun
Leaves fluttering branches swaying
The neighbours' dogs baying
Creaking buildings as they warm
Buzzing bees to new flowers swarm
Hummingbirds swoop and dive
Spring morning so much alive
Life is a such a pleasure to share
Distracted now I stop and stare
Counting many a blessing
Cheeks hot and flushing
Nature never ceases to amaze
While walking through her maze
