It's been a while now,
For many moons, I've thought of you,
But time is an ever changing tide,
Washing away my memories, my sorrows, my vivid dreams.

I try not to think much.
Let me be.
Dumbed down.
Fitting around.

But the worst days are when I do,
When I think of you.
The days I cry myself to bed,
The days I think of you until all the emotion is dead.
I think of you, and all the slipped moments that pass like trains,
Of all the moments I want to throw everything to shit.
When all I need is to run to your arms and kiss you alright,
But those times are gone.

Drowning would be graceful,
but for now seeing you is just as painful,
Keeping my mouth closed,
Punching walls instead of kissing you.
Trying to turn love into anger,
It's just as tiring,
And lord knows I'm tired,
It can all be gone,
Because I know I'm already done.

Repetition is my own motif,
"I'm sorry" has become a synonym to "Hello."
but both seem to be unheard,
both seem to be as effective as turning into sand,
like flying grains in a desert of plain pain,
I guess it's nearly time to say goodbye,
Maybe it will be a synonym for "I wish I had said something, alright."
