I love that we have 20. They are all so good. I know there are a few people working on theirs... Two more days to go, you can do it!

There should be one more, but for some reason my entry attempts are not going ahead, and I'm even being asked to verify my pen-name. Something funny somewhere, since I submitted a story just a fortnight ago without this palaver! I wouldn't care they must know that it cannot be a threat to any of the current excellent entries!

That's not good. I've sent you a message.

~•~

If anyone else has this issue please let me know.

I have also shared this on a few sites. The more the better.

Also, I would like to take a second for anyone using stanzas. In case you don't know they don't always line up correctly when you copy/paste your poem from another place. It has been this way for years. Here is a quick fix. Well, easy fix, it's not really quick.

Here
Is
An
Example.

To have those connected with a single space so you can proper space between stanzas, backspace Is beside Here

HereIs

and then hit control-enter so Is moves back down. Repeat with the following line.

IsAn control-enter.

Once you have each line how you want, just hit enter to start the next stanza. I really hope this is not too confusing and if you have any questions please feel free to ask me.

With the site changing and growing we wanted to have a place to share some of the important ones with you. We'll start with Scoring.

~*~

We have decided to move to a simple like-based approach for stories. Shortly, you will see the following options at the bottom of each story:

❤️ This will give the story a like, equivalent to 1 point

⭐ This will favorite the story, equivalent to 1 point, and also add the story to your favorite list.

So if you like and favorite a story, you will be increasing its score by 2.

If you like it, or favourite it, but not both, you will increase its score by 1.

You will be able to access the list of stories you have read and liked, as well as see which you have favourited, all from your profile menu.

If you dislike the story, you will not be able to negatively affect the score. You can still comment, however, we ask you to be respectful of our authors and keep your comments constructive and civil.

As much as I’m sure all authors appreciate you indicating you like their work, the comments and feedback are really what helps authors know what works, what doesn’t, what has resonated with readers, etc, so we would encourage you to take a moment and comment on something you like.

For all stories posted on site until the change, the current score will be added to the number of times it’s previously been favorited in order to arrive at the new score. This is regardless of what rating the story was given when it was scored.

These changes will hopefully be made live over the next week.

Dream On

I thought it was time for a poetry contest. I want to see what your brilliant minds have to offer. You are allowed to interpret this however you wish. What do those words bring to mind?

The rules are simple. Your poem can’t be longer than 45 lines and must contain the words Dream, Imagine, and Peace.

Quick Facts:

The Line count is 45.

You cannot submit already published work.

Do not forget the three keywords.

All Stories Space rules and guidelines apply.SAzF0heybqjmoJLG

The ending date is September 30, 2022

The winners will be announced on October 7, 2022

Prizes:

Welp, that one goes on my list. "Out there" is a thumbs-up for me. Also, it's a Raimi film. But I should probably see the first Dr. Strange, eh. And, well, more of the MCU than I have.

At the very least, the first Dr. Strange and Spider-Man: No Way Home. Watching Wandavision would be great too but then you get into the, why is this happening in Wandavision so you'd have to watch Infinity War and End Game. Yeah, it's a lot.

All that being said, Sam Raimi is great.

I watched M Night Shyamalan's latest movie, Old. It was terrible. So terrible I had to watch it to the end to see if it could get worse, but it did. It was silly.

I didn't mind it, but I also like really weird things. lol

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. I really liked it, but others thought it was too out there.

Just wondering why there were no Editors Picks or Recommended Reads awarded for the New Year's makeover competition? Don't we do this anymore?

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. It was an oversight and has been sorted.

We are not understaffed.

I am asking the bickering to stop. This was a fun event with some amazing submissions and this is not the time or the place to argue.

This is a thread to celebrate if you have an issue with something take it private or take it to an admin.

I love how creative the members of StoriesSpace are. Each one of you handled this theme with your own personal twist and it made for exciting reading. You should all be proud of yourselves.
