About

I am a 67-year-old Vietnam combat veteran with PTSD. I have been divorced twice. I live alone with my cat, Morticia. Surprising to me, I find I enjoy writing romance short stories and poetry. I have some very special friends who encourage, care, and love me. Since retiring, I have titled myself as a Rather Odd Wise Old Man. This avatar is for some beautiful one whom I love very much.

Interests
Beautiful women - the older I become the greater the number! Physics, astronomy, and quantum theory are my prime nonfiction reading. I also enjoy logic and philosophy. For my recreational reading I enjoy science fiction and erotica. I really enjoy it when both are combined. When asked what my hobby is I usually say physics and human interactions. I get a lot of stares.

Favorite Books
The Foundation Series, The Star Beast, Glory Road, and in non-fiction, The Cartoon Guide to Physics, and Plato and a Platypus Walk Into a Bar.

Favorite Authors
Asimov, Heinlein, Clark, and many many of of the newer science fiction writers. Here: 1redheadrapunzel and LittleSister_

Favorite Movies
War Games, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, 2001, The Last Starfighter, The Hunt for Red October, Galaxy Quest, and Ghostbusters 1. By my choice I do not own a TV. I am completely internet.

Favorite Music
Pink Floyd, KT Tunstall, Bob Seger, Enya, Joan Jett, Phil Collins, and Iron Butterfly to name a few. I like instrumental classical music, jazz, adult alternative, and classic rock - in no particlar order.

Running Away

A retired man's need to change his life.

Okay, this is a grouchy old bear venting. I felt that you should be forewarned. Running away is always an option. Sadly, it takes a lot of courage and through planning. Running away is a basic level choice for all things living. The trouble with humans is...
