Do You Even Care?

I really have to wonder

A day filled with lots of pain,
No call to ask how I am.
This marriage is under strain,
To me it's a total sham.

You seem not to care,
I give it my complete all.
Thank God, for my emotional affair,
I feel like all I do is talk to a wall.

I had major work done yesterday,
I asked you for a goddamn can of soup.
I have an infection with major decay,
You didn't jump through any hoops.

Of course, I made you a nice dinner,
And still asked about your day.
In this marriage I'm the only winner,
And you're completely far away.

I sit here and I cry,
I'm in this all alone.
You're not the apple of my eye,
You can't even call me on the phone.

You were obviously were not raised right,
You don't have any compassion.
You're not even polite,
Thank God, I have a distraction.

I can't stand being here,
This is not where I belong.
I cry so many tears,
It sounds like a bad country song.

I shall enjoy my own fun,
I'll ignore you in every way,
I'm just feeling like I'm done,
I wonder why I even stay.
