Reflection

Can I believe what I see?

I catch my gaze
In silvered glass
Watching who I see
I tilt my head
From side to side
Making sure it’s me
Is there beauty?
Hard to say
I know the face so well
Reach my hand
To one outstretched
Flesh meets solid cool
Olive skin
Dark curly hair
Toned figure, real hips
Eyes of chocolate brown
Dark brows
Further down, full lips
Seeing (my own?) image there
Both blessed and lately cursed
Wanting to believe
And yet
Don’t mirrors show reverse?
