Somewhere beyond and out there
A place far better than here
Where the only way is truth
With no room for any lie

Where eyes are always open
And hearts never become closed
A place of brightness and love
Devoid of darkness and hate

Some say this is where we come
The place where we will all go
That this cold world is our death
And the warmth there is our birth

Where there's no more need to fight
And one's self can be at peace
Where there is no more heartache
And all that exists is joy

This is what my spirit needs
What my tired soul and heart wants
I've come to believe through hope
Despite my darkness and fear

Maybe I am but a fool
I never claimed to be wise
But this place must be somewhere
If only it could be here
