Won't touch electrical with a 10' pole. Too risky in my books. Even plumbing, I am fairly selective about what I will DIY. Too many bad experiences.
Morning tea time. I've picked up some assorted goodies. Muffins, cinnamon buns, danishes for the breakfast bar. And, of course, there's always Sara's cookies if that's too much for you.
Sonja did not have a cat. So why was this one making itself at home in her house?

The metal singer made Brenda an interesting offer, but was her interest in the music ... or him?

Multi-tasking today: data spreadsheets and survey analysis while baking brownies. Warming some milk for the coffee.
Stopping in for tea and a quick hello. Trying to take care of a bunch of stuff this week so I can focus on my youngest daughter next week. We leave a week from tomorrow to make the 8 hour trek to help her and her bf move into their brand new house. When I hug her 8 days from now it will be the first time in 238 days. (But who's counting...lol).
I hope Monday is treating everyone well!
Larry, grateful I am for the setup and for the last of the Danish Scott brought in yesterday. Yeah, it was a bit stiff but still tasty. Of course, Sarah's cookies are the candle on top of the cake
TG, it's great having you over here amongst us. Between Mendalla and Larry, ((btw, probably a good place for you to avoid) the coffee is always hot and usually drinkable while the kettle is full of the finest hot aqua in these parts..
All that talk has done gone and flung a cravin' on me. Think I'll grab some of that coffee and a handful of cookies and go sit under the Western Auto window air conditioner.
Later, y'all.
Think I'll
Just dropped in to say welcome home Sara. I am pleased that your trip went well. I have only once flown far enough to get jet lag, when I flew to Port Stanley some thirty-five years ago!
Sit back, relax and prepare for your return to normal life tomorrow. π€

I have had jet lag many times in varying degrees. Returning from Shanghai is the worst (been there several times to visit my in-laws) but even Europe is no great shakes. In some ways, the 5 or 6 hour, depending on where we are going, lag to Europe bothers me more than the 12 or 13 (depending on whether we are in daylight savings) to China.
Glad your trip home went well, Sara.
Now, about those ginger snaps...* scarfs 3 *

Vibes to Victor. Hope it isn't too serious. We actually have a vet ER here I think but I have no pets so I couldn't tell you which animal hospital has it.
Starting on a new story today. It's been dancing around in my head of late so I thought I would get some out to see how it plays. It's set in the same world as Night of the Wind but a different part (different continent) and will have, I hope, a different feel to it. Less fantasy Western, more pulp weird fantasy.

A quick hello before I start making dinner (and brownies for dessert). I hope Victor's tummy is better! My kitty, Chessie, has been glued to my side today. Her tummy was making some strange noises as well. Keeping an eye on her lately. She's an old girl and I try to pay attention every little oddity.
